Does anyone use OBS or XSplit w/ Windows 10? I'm having trouble installing both because it says I need DirectX to run them. On the Microsoft download/update page, it says DirectX can't be downloaded alone, that it comes as part of the normal Microsoft Updates. I am up-to-date and current with Windows Updates, yet evidently don't have DirectX (which I "think" is something to do with IE or Edge.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

XSplit BROADCASTER (not gamecaster) can stream w/o direct (at least I'm almost positive)

It has 'add screen region' and I use it because my laptop can't support the common methods used by superior computers.

Good luck, you might get better info w/o having to use X.B. I just wanted you to be aware of that option.

    OK, thanks JF.

I remember seeing two different XSplits and I tried the "simple and easy to use" one. I'll check and see if the Broadcaster is the one I didn't try, and if so, give it a go.

    Thanks,

Great!! That works. Now I just need to figure out the tech mumbo-jumbo and get the settings set right. I appreciate the help JF.
