I have been a member since 2008. As the years have gone by I have realized that WGT has been getting worse over time. Constant disconnects and numerous game play problems. Many have posted their concerns. I am wondering why those at the top have not addressed these concerns in a timely manner. The main problem is in game physics.  #1 Why do wind conditions have to be so hard?  They just make no sense. No consistency at all. #2 Putt meter is a little odd.. Hit the line and putts sometimes go off line. Hit before line and putt goes in. What's with that? # 3 Why does the swing meter have to be in front of golfer, in the way of putting line of sight?  These are just a few that stick out to me. I am sure there are others that can be mentioned.

You are a level 88 Master after 7 years....this indicates that you don't play very often and also explains why you barely scratched the surface of problems...all of the above glitches you have mentioned (and many, many more) have been memorialized in a dizzying array of posts. IMHO, the problems lie in two major areas; outdated and an insufficient number of servers and bug filled programs when they do updates. It is apparently much easier to add more layers of bells and whistles (adding more glitches) than addressing the basic playing issues....probably because it's a lot more expensive to effect actual repairs.

WGT has no real competition, ergo no pressure to spend the time and money needed. I'm afraid until they actually get that competition for $$$ from a similar game, we will be basically left with two options...put up with it or leave the site.

On an upnote, I looked at your kit (average) and the fact it shows you using the free balls...if you amortize over the 7 years, this hobby hasn't cost you very much money...so, al in all, not too bad.

Just to clarify. I have spent a lot of money over the past few years. I just ran out of the Nike's I usually use. To answer your how much it's cost me,that has nothing to do with in game physics and how this game is setup. There are better golf sims out there, but the one I usually play has shut down. Too bad though. It was far better than this and you didn't have to pay through the nose to do it.

Fair enough...I was just trying to put a positive spin on a bad situation to make you feel better. Also, I am personally unaware of other golf sim games that can match this one...I mean, why would anyone still be here?...I certainly can't find one on the net.

If all you claim is true as far as game physics, inconsistent and high winds, do you ever wonder how players attains a scoring average close to or below 60 and make it to or above the Legend tier?

Those other game sims you say were 'far better', do you ever wonder why they are gone? To easy? They didn't charge near enough to stay in business?

It kinda sucks when you realize the biggest issue/variable/problem you face playing WGT is your attitude and unrealistic expectations. But when you do, that's when you quit using WGT as an excuse for your poor play and really start learning how to play WGT.

My attitude and expectations have nothing to do with how this game plays. I am just pointing out it's faults within game play. I am sure there are many who have come across the same issues, but don't say much about it. Comparing me to other players who score lower is silly at best. I am 70 years old and my reactions to the meter are far less as quick as my younger cohorts. I just recently started back here at WGT because I played at TigerWoods 2008 CGXtour  Also poor play only happens here if you don't buy better equipment, balls, clubs, etc. and practice at this game. I am doing what I can to improve with what this game gives you. Which isn't much.

There are 3 different types of swing meters .  Click on your Equipment , click on meters , pick one of the others and click save

This game has been, and always will be the the way WGT makes it. They have total control. Bottom line is, if they don't make money it will not happen. Play, have fun, make friends and spend what you want. Otherwise, do what I did and stop playing after almost 5 years. I meant nothing  to WGT after 1566 CDP's and they made that very clear. Enjoy your next round.

Mr Winn25 .   When you come to the  " Y " in the path of life ,( or WGT )  you have to pick a way , and no matter witch way you pick you will always think why did not I pick the other way ?

Its not about your days played , But the days you played with Friends .

The age card doesn't play here, that's a cop out. You were the same age playing that easy cartoon golf. Apply yourself and practice. If you know golf you will succeed here.
