  welcome  all to my first cc vs cc contest

               the omega golf  cc           vs                    the derbyshire golf  cc

                                                          

   

   

  

   

  play starts this saturday 10th october

  and must be completed saturday 31st october.

   

  a few simple rules

  
  

  all matches played to a finish even if sudden death.

  any gimmies must be agreed by both players from the start

  i suggest 3ft is a fair gimmie but the choice is yours,

  please arrange a time suitable for both players,remember the time difference,

  post results on this forum please with a brief description

  thats about it

  but i enjoy it and its good for both clubs to play each other and make new friends,

  adrian played a great game,i was always playing catch up

  mickcharvill lost 3 and 2 against Bigjohndough

  enjoyable game but well beaten by some excellant approach shots on 2-3 and 4

  all within a couple of feet ending in his 2nd on 4 finish 19 inches from the hole for eagle

  iainmclean loses 1 down to pcLew

  Lew sank a 23 feet putt on the 2nd to go 1 up and it stayed like that until the 8th when I birdied to his par.

  Unfortunately, I found the bunker at the 9th whilst Lew found the green.

  Iain & I got our match in Sunday morning (early Sunday on my side of the pond), and I was lucky to escape 1 up.

  Pretty even match, as we both battled through connectivity issues on my end (bad modem, I think - thanks Comcast).

  Iain is a great player, the bounces just went a little more my way today. On any other day, a different result - thanks for the opportunity! A true gentleman...
