SPINO1:
That's a high trajectory 3W and the first thing I noticed was how low it went for a full back spin shot.
So I went to my bag and equipped my old L89 BB 245yd 3W, and seeing on your profile you have the Cally Chrome Soft L33 equipped I loaded up a Cally Hex Chrome L33 ball. {I don't have any Chrome Softs but the specs are the same.)
Then I went to a practice round on BP B9 with hi wind and was lucky I got a big downwind on the tee.at hole 13. The wind is a little more right to left than yours but still comparable down wind since its 20mph at 11 o'clock.
I drove and then chipped/pitched on the fairway until I was within inches of SPINO1's spot. I then used mulligans to hit multiple dinged shots from the same location using different spins. All data represents a dinged shot. I took a screen shot of the replays from camera 1 when the shot landed to get the shot's carry. Click the links to view each replay if you want to see them. All my shots were aimed at the same spot.
Full back spin carried 254 yds.
No Back spin (neutral) carried 243 yds
Half Top spin carried 226 yds
Full Top spin carried 230 yds (odd but could be a normal distance deviation)
SPINO1's shot carried in the range of half or full top spin shots!
(I know a single shot's distance can vary so I hit multiple Half Top spin shots and all were within a few yards of 226)
I took the carry screen shots and made this animation marking the apex of each shot's trajectory with a different colored line for comparison: Click the image for a full size view.
A couple of things to note
- SPINO1's trajectory and carry distance is closest to a half top spin or full top spin shot
- On all my shots the ball finished to the left of the initial trajectory, because of the right to left wind.
- On SPINO1's shot the ball finished to the right of the initial trajectory even with the slight right to left wind.
It's really a strange WTF shot.
