I think my reply is a little bit late since I just check your profile and saw the Ghost spider L35+

I'm not saying that your choice is wrong, but I think, in my own opinion your decision wasn't the best.

I know there are many many better player with higher tier in this post who gave you a lot of different advices, myself, only Master tier, even struggling in Master tier, but I was really success back then when I was in Pro and especially Tour Pro, earned more than 100$ credits in just tournament, so I think my advice may not be the best, but maybe it suit you more since you're at the Pro tier.

I know putting is a really important part of the game, but you already had the L19+ Spider Putter, first I think you shouldn't upgrade it since you're only Pro tier that putter should work perfectly, (I used it a long time before I moved to mid Tour Pro). But you bought the L35+ Ghost Spider already, so let just move on.

The reason why I'm saying that you shouldn't upgrade your putt yet, because I looked at your stat, your putting per hole is 1.7, maybe you improve it with your new putter, but anyways, equipment is just 20% from my opinion, 80% is mechanic, 1.7 is really good, I'm on 1.64, with harder green and I know I can improve it a lot more, but 1.7 still help you win a lot of credit already, so putting shouldn't be your problem.

The huge problem for you I think is right now you are using the starter irons + the starter hybrid. The starter irons offer huge forgiveness but the precision is just really bad. The starter hybrid you are not going to use them because there isn't a huge gap between your 3 wood and 3 iron, a 95% or 90% 3 wood should fill the gap easily.

Having the starter irons with the starter hybrid and you don't have a Driver which result in a lack of distance and lack of precision which you end up only having 68% green in regulation and 22ft average to pin. I know many players who had a lot of success with the Starter Irons but I really think that changing to a new set of irons will change your whole game. I strongly recommend the R11 Taylormade, a lot of players have positive feedback on it. Or you can wait until level 59 for the G25 irons. Both of this clubs have pretty similar stats, R11 with 2.5 precision and 3.5 forgiveness when the G25 is the reverse, 3.5 precision and 2.5 forgiveness. But the G25 come with 0.5 extra meter speed and the trajectory is High instead of Mid/High like the R11. To be honest, the meter speed is 0.5 slower which maybe if you play on the PC will help you a lot, but I play the game on the iphone where I got that sequence feeling, after changing to the G25 for around 2 weeks, I still hit the ding early which result in a lot of hook shot :(.

1 more thing that I think will reduce your score is your wedges. Right now you have the cleverland L8+ 54 degree and 64 degree. I have to say the gap between is 25 yards which I think is really huge. Even in real life you don't want to have 2 wedges with 10 degree between them. So if you want to go with just 2 wedges and keep the hybrid, I strongly recommend you go with the 54 degree and 60 degree (6 degree gap) because (if) you change to the  R11 irons in the future, I have experienced that it is a bit tricky to hit around 90 80 yards with the PW, so the 54 degree will help you out (Cleverland  L31+ is a good choice but really expensive, the TM ATV wedges is half the price and the different is Med/High trajectory compare to High trajectory from the Cleverland which I dont really feel the different if I play the Srixon Z star ball, and 0.5 meter speed which if you can replace with a right ball, half the price and only a few little stat behind)
If you decide to ditch the hybrid club, then go for the 56 60 64 with 4 degree gap, you dont' really need the 52 degree, because it isn't much different in distance compare to the PW, I do have it, but I only replace it with the Driver when I play on those only par 3 courses.

I know this is a really long post, but I saw you in the same place as me before, I used to make a lot of mistake when it come to the pro shop. A lot of people help me out, Solarflares, SeabrookFlash,... I just feel like even though we have a lot of choices in the pro shop, but there are only a few good choice, so it's really important to spend the credits right and try to not waste any of them. So just try to have fun, stay happy, stay relax because the moment you reach the Master tier, you won't really feel relaxing anymore

thank you for reading and sorry for my bad english ;)

Imo the putter is easily the first and best choice for an upgrade.   I for one used the Ghost 35 till I reached Master.  Why putter first?  When you're learning to putt you need equipment that gives you the best chance of hitting consistent shots.

Let's take the starter putter, a 10F putt, and 10 putts.  The starter putter has such horrible precision that if you we're to hit the Ding 10X there's high potential that the ball will actually roll on 10 different lines.  That's how bad the starter putter sucks.  It never goes where you aim it, even when you hit the Ding.  How can you possibly learn to putt when this happens?  You need the ball to start out where you aim.

Purchasing a better putter will allow you to get the ball rolling on your actual aim point more frequently which will facilitate a much quicker learning curve.

...I'd like to thank-you for this lengthy post. It appears that English isn't your first language, but you took, what I guess to be, a considerable amount of personal time to provide your detailed opinion, solely in the hopes of helping someone else. ...

..That's what generosity of spirit is all about.  Whether the OP takes your advice (or ours), is completely beside the point. You did your best and that is admirable.

Hi Sweggerino,  Very nice post.  I'm glad to see how your game has improved very quickly.  Good job taking the time to help another up and coming WGT'er. Very good advice from someone who has been there .

    Thanks for that long and informative post Sweggerino! Just thought I would explain my thinking on some of your points;

    About the starter irons
I absolutely agree I need better ones. I'm really just waiting to unlock the L59+ Ping G25 irons that you mentioned. Didn't want to spend credits on an intermediate set since it doesn't seem to take that long to reach lvl 59.

    About the driver
Just waiting to unlock the L48+ R1 driver.

    About the hybrid
The gap between the starter i3 (180 yards) and my 3 wood (227 yards) is 47 yards. I use starter hybrid for now for that reason. As soon as I get the L59+ Ping irons, the i3 at 210 yards makes the hybrid useless anyway.

    About the wedges
The starter iron PW goes 90 yards. With that it makes sense to have 2 wedges (60, 75 yards) or maybe (50, 70 yards) to have even spacing.

I bought the 64 degree (60 yards) early on and it is very useful almost everywhere around the green. The 54 degree might have been a bit of a mistake to buy. Right now it's more or less replacing the really poor starter PW. But as you said, it leaves a big gap of 25 yards between the wedges. Just didn't find a good wedge among the lower levels with the right distance. So I went with the 54 to get the same spin, meter speed, and launch as the one I already had. The 60 degree in the same series made less sense to me.

When I get the L59+ Ping irons I will most definitely need 3 wedges and ditch the hybrid. With the PW going 115 yards, good spacing would be around (60, 80, 100).

Not at all sure what to do here. Might go for the 56 and 60 degree cleveland 588's at L76+ and L78+, if I can wait that long. If not the L38-39+ TM ATV 56 and 60 degree would give decent spacing at (60, 77, 98).

Any suggestions on the wedges with this plan would be much appreciated!

And again thanks for all your thoughts so far in this thread!

When i started playing I picked up the lower level cleveland 56 and 64 and used those until I hit level 79 and then bought the 56 60 and 64.

The 56 punches at 84Y and you can map that out very well with different backspins.  So you end up with a 100Y 84Y and 60Y.  Works well enough in most cases.  Only problem shots would be in the rough 30/40 and hitting to severe uphill shots (but dont do that to yourself ;D).

For the wedges I went for the L38 56 60 64 and sold the low level wedges.

The first reason is I really want all my 3 wedges to have the same stat, when I have to hit around 90 yards under I only need to look at the distance and since because they all have the same stats, I will have all the same feeling of how to ding them and how to aim them as well. Basically which make the game easier.

The distance for the 56 60 64 are 93 77 and 50, the distance gap between them I don't find them to be the best, since if you look closely 93 and 77 are very close but 27 yards between 60 and 64 is a bit too much. But anyways, when I actually hit them in game, the 50y distance I find it better than 60y distance since 50y will improve your short game under 40y much much better than the 60, and I can even hit 35y perfectly with full bs with 85% with the 50y.

What i'm trying to say is, even though I said that the 25y of your currently wedges now is really bad, but the gap is between 85-60, and for the higher level ATV wedges, the gap is worse 27 but it's in the range of 77-50, but you will also have 1 extra wedge which will at 93y, so if you ever have to hit under 95y, you will have much much better approach, since you don't have to use the PW, and the only problem is round 55-65yds, where the distance gap between 60-64 is ridiculous, anyways, if you just spend maybe 5'-10' trying to map the 60 degree wedge, then it should be alright.

I find it better to go with ATV at this tier, since the Pro and Tour Pro tier is not too hard, and the price is half compare to the Cleverland (of course cleverland is better). I never try other wedges so I can't really say anything about them, but I tried all the ATV wedges I can (I'm only level 60+), so the L30+ they are super nice, the spin is really nice, love how they stop and have a little backspin with full bs swing with the srixon 180cr balls.

I'm happy with them, still, waiting for L70+ to swap for the Cleverland since I believe they are better than the ATV, ATV is good Cleverland might be a little better, the prices are just way too high.

p/s: If you miss the ding with the G25, they will become the worse irons, I have trouble hitting the ding since the meter speed way way way too slow :( (not the clubs fault, I'm just bad)
