I kind of got sets in bunches.. 3wd+64W+Driver and later irons+3rd wedge. Putter was my last upgrade as comparitively the starter putter is quite decent.

I got the L70 Versa and dont really plan on switching. Also I prefer the look of a blade putter like Versa,Rossa and Method rather than the Ghost Spider or Max mallets. So, you could possibly go for Max Control Master putter if u dont mind the low increments

    SweetiePie:
Birdies and eagles are fun and make me happy, and to be able to enjoy them with limited concentration is comfortable.

LOL we all like making birds and eagles.......hard to disagree with your logic there, but they are even more rewarding from back tees in hard conditions, but that is a moot point.

I basically play to challenge myself and set goals, when a round starts with a double bogey, my goal is to beat par...etc. That is what keeps me here,

I appreciate your honesty and accept we are all different after all, who would want even 2 of me, let alone hundreds of me (bombastic, rude and hasten I say a tad arrogant). That is part of the rich fabric of life.

My advice to anyone, is if you no longer enjoy the game, take a break. If you are playing for an average, or CDB etc without enjoying it., then you are playing for the wrong reasons.

Hopefully you will break the sub 50 SP.

This game reminds me of another game I enjoy.

It is split in 3 skill levels.

those that find red tees fun, those that want to improve, and those that master this game.

I like that anyone can find pleasure in this game after playing this game for more than 2 years.

it's called arcade, realistic and simulation.

Have fun everyone what ever you pleasure is , it is yours to have.

mine is no longer here !

    MainzMan:

A cheaper option would be the Daytona at L55.  Some of those old putters can still really hold their own against the newer models.

And if you find you hate it you won't lose a ton of credits.

I agree.  Daytona is a great putter. Learn to use that then upgrade to the Versa's or use it forever.

I would also say stick with the same scales with whatever style of putter you get.

I know, I know..."here comes little miss blabber-mouth again"....but I must agree with you both on these points...the super progression - Daytona L55 - Versa L70 - Versa L96 - the L101 whatever it is ?....I'll let you Know in about a month. All superb, all same scales, all proven great. I was amazed by one of the posters here (can't remember who) who is at L102 and yet glued to the Daytona because of the $47 scoots on the L101 wand...amazing   ~ SP ~

I've seen lots of senior players still using the starter putter (can't beat the price)....they are used to it and, more importantly, they are good at reading the greens. Without the ability to read greens, even a $1000 putter wont help much.

I have said before, that I have tried almost every putter in the pro shop....  discovered that I suck equally bad with all of them.....I now use the level 70 Versa...I seem to suck the least with this one...lol

...seriously, the best putter you can have is the one that YOU are most comfortable with...regardless of price or specs....and learn to read the greens (break and speed).

You really aren't too bright, are you?  What I said was:

    Robbo81303:
For what its worth, I use the L55 Rossa Daytona.  I've tried 'em all & this is what I'm most comfortable with & have the greatest success with

    and:

    Robbo81303:
I've tried all the Versas many times - I wanna like 'em, I really do - but they just don't work for me, period.  I do like the L101 Nike very much, but i still score better with the Rossa and, for me, 4700cr for a backup putter is just ludicrous.

    No glue.  Anywhere.

I'm sure there are institutes of higher learning near you with remedial reading courses that would benefit you greatly.  Fact of life.  Good luck!

    Oh, heck no. I'm one of the dumbest, most uneducated, backward bumpkins you could ever imagine. Durn, I'm country, I'd have to go be around city folk to get schooling. I'm scared of city folk cause they know words and stuff...plus my dopey ways sometimes get under city fellers skin...makes um irritable and say stupid naughty things because of pride or ego I guess;-}
