fmagnets:Was just a poorly thought out shot, like several yesterday. Occasionally, with just enough backspin on that Nike Black, the 3i into a headwind can ride up a little and make the carry if it comes out a bit hot, then roll out to the pin. Very small chance of it working, so should have gone with the 3wd - I just hate to hit it because it is so innaccurate. Better to have some chance of success with the 3wd though than such a miniscule one with the 3i. Very silly choice.
I tend to dissagree actually, although i used the 3 wood it was unpredictable and i had to go full back on it. and it still rolled pased and left a horrible putt for bird. it was by no means an easy bird hole so the 3I was not that bad of a choice to make the par, had i missed my putt it woulda been hard to make the par i guess....
