  I don't think I have seen that before. Other CCs that have gone under usually provide warning or explanations to the membership.

    I think it is more common than you think . I have seen many postings going both ways . 

  But for the owner to be taking the time to post on walls about prizes coming, and 48 hrs later...kaput, without a word?...if this is a common occurrence, then its a sad state of affairs. (I think it was a decent size CC also.).

  So why did the club close?  I would think an explanation is due...I added a lot of credits to the club and now they're down the drain.

  To the former members of this CC. Many of which have scattered to many different Country Clubs already.

  Find one that you believe suits you and then get you and your friends from the old CC into it.

  Just my opinion, but as many of the members have found new homes already - it would be a challenge to bring a solid group back together again under new leadership.

  To poach dozens of players then just close up shop says something about the owner. They have little or no respect for the members. Why didn't he advertise for a new owner if he wanted to pack it in?

  Spend your time  bribing anyone who will contribute an XP point to join you will end up with what you end up with, and all for a few XPs more:). Read the small print as they say.

  If anyone who is genuine -we do due diligence on obvious M/As without trying to be witch hunters - is looking for a home check out our CCs website via my page.  Earnings or potential super XP contributions play a very poor second to genuine.  I should point out I guess that if a clash comes up feel free, but the club's interest levels is generally low for stuff that daft.

  Just another option with a couple of genuine places above already as potential options to speak to at least.  

  As for the sudden closure I wish the ex owner no ill.  Who knows what has happened in his personal life or what really happened, but this surprises me not I will say that.

  Always awful to hear of a business closing, and golfers losing their second home.  So many great players suddenly without notice finding themselves out on the streets.  I know The People's Club has taken in several and sure those players will be very happy there.  I have 8 places left in my club and have also taken several already in from the sudden closure of EDC.  Hopefully those players will find our club is suitable to them, I wish everyone good luck in finding a new club.

  someone mentioned in an earlier post that perhaps something happened in "real life" to warrant such an abrupt closure..I'm not sure what to make of this. As I stated,  I personally don't often see fairly large CC's shutter their doors like that.
