  How is it possible that I found myself added to a CC today, without being asked or my asking to join it. Seems strange.

  Could it be possible that you joined a club from the pop-up in the game? Either way, you can always leave a club from your country club page.

  Like you Karl, I've joined several clubs by accident, and I'm pretty sure it's the bloody annoying pop-up that Champ mentioned.
  
  When the game client first opens, I sometimes click on the ball icon where my equipment is, to change the ball I want to use in the game I intend to play, and I'm fairly sure that this click, instead of activating the equipment selection window, activates the join club button in the country club pop-up that appears shortly after the game client opens.
  
  Hopefully I've learned now to stop doing this, but if I do find myself in a CC, at least I know how it happened.  : )

  And in the meantime, the CC owner has to deal with this spurious request:

  - check out the player,

  - extra check on his country which frequently isn't displayed,

  - refuse the invite,

  - write a courteous message on the wall of this unsuspecting guy.
