"Well just stop winning and that will be change enough."

Spoken like a true competitor.  I generally prefer winning to whining...

"covertly winning so many weekly XP races,"

Covert means "not openly acknowledged or displayed"  We can't be that covert, or there wouldn't be as much bitching about the weekly points winning streak.

"And still, it's a public goal of your owner to win the Clash and to excel in CC XPs"

Guilty.  It's a lousy format, but there are still hundreds of clubs that put up points each time.  As long as the brain trust at WGT continue the clashes, and name a winner each time, we're just wacky enough to try and be the top team.  We're crazy like that.  And, since the club makes no secret of our goals, we tend to attract like minded players.

"To each his own, but - in all friendship - I consider your CC the frontmen of the
"We want Golden Calves, WGT!" movement, pumping effort and credits into this part of the game which I call futile, pointless and a total money grab."

No argument on the futile, pointless, money grab sentiments.  Our club has written WGT many times asking for a change in format and prize structure.  Until then, as long as they're giving away golden calves, even though we've repeatedly asked them not to, we're silly enough to try and win the calf.  And as I mentioned before, we don't seem to be the only club putting up points and trying to win.  Where are your expressions of love and respect for them?

The camaraderie and good sportsmanship shown toward us in the forums is also worth the effort.  (That was sarcasm.  I point it out for the subtlety impaired...)

If you have any more complaints, jot them down, then fold them five ways.  Further instructions to follow.

I'd like ti think if u had a hamster as a pet, that u would at least occasionally let it out of it's cage once in a while, to give it some purpose in life.

But, somehow , I doubt it.

I think you may not fully understand our ethos [...]

Excuse me Dan, I wasn't going to critizise you or your CC, not for your actions, not for ethos. And, "nasty or ruthless" was your wording not mine.

My thoughts were pointing to the ambiguity shown by your post, and I got carried away a bit by my own position towards the whole subject.

I'm still firm in my opinion - and I found company here - that you must change something to see a change. To this opinion

    vandasey:
if we keep winning WGT will need to change something.

I strongly object. It's also not an argument to talk about others taking your place:

You said that you want a change, so you're gonna have to stop regardless!

If you like this kind of competition, continue, but don't ask for a change.

To explain the covertness of the weekly race, of course there is a leaderboard, but only CC members can see it, and it's wiped out in the moment it's finalized. It's elusive.

I wish you luck and all the best for these goals.

Alosso - Your argument of the only way to change it is for us to give up seems flawed. Perhaps I'm missing the point but I don't see how us not competing in something we enjoy competing for during a competition is something that will change anything.

My point is that if we keep winning, and we will continue to try to, then WGT will need to change things in order to keep other CC's interested. Noone likes losing all the time and so that has a knock on affect to lower attendance and participation. Lower participation = less money for WGT. Less money = Change!

I'm not hear to cause arguments with you about how you or we run our CC's, merely pointing out that if you don't want to compete in a competition then don't. But don't accuse the team who competes more and therefore win of being anything more than we are... winners.

To stop competing during a competition isn't a logical thought process for most of us in the Georgian, and I'm sure if your CC was in our position you'd feel the same.

Why can it be that we lost the Clash when we scored 1390 points and the other CC 1347 points?

I expect that the other team had the highest single points earner. The bonus points are added before the winner is declared. Crazy system.

The be perfectly honest Dan no one likes losing a comp if based of quaility of play instead quantity. This particular comp has nothing to do with playing this game well, just how many rounds you can load up on with boosts, in the shortest amount of time.

I think what Alosso is saying is that as long as your members continue to grind out meaningless rounds, and feeding WGT's thirst for credits in doing so, they will never change this very flawed format.

Excuse me, but you're getting me wrong from A to Z.

It's not about giving up but about a decision to stop - if you want a change.

It's not "I don't want to compete" but I don't want my CC to get into a "buying CC passes" race with only one winner: WGT.

I don't accuse your CC - I only point to some ambiguity in your former post.

IMHO, you are in a simple competition of credit spending - see above. You fuel the clashes, so why should this change anything?

Again, no objection against your actions as players or as a CC, but please allow my personal opinion that in this "competition", you the fish IMHO when you finish first place.

Go Georgian! if you enjoy it!
