Free to join or leave any CC, and plenty of cultures out their to suit all.

When Ebay first came out we thought it was hilarious it said you "won".  Now we have an event way more related to that than a sporting anything and using the same term, just without anything worthwhile at the end way most see it.

Some choose to go for it so good on em........well done.  I can't say well played as that simply has nothing to do with the concept.  Yes they added some points voodoo - lipstick on a pig.

CCs should be upfront what they are about though.  I hasten to add I don't know the one in question at all, and so just a general point.

With all due respect Oneeyedjohn, i fail to see how the club message of "Please remember to use your FREE Country Club passes as often as you can, on days in a row bonuses. Save purchasing passes for Club Clashes" is a demand that people buy them?

It is merely a suggestion. People in our club buy passes out of choice, the message above it suggesting to members to buy them in the Clash if they are going to buy them at all.  But if you want to read that a certain way to try and make a point then thats fine. I'll just point out that you're wrong... and being a member within the club I am in a position to say that you are wrong because I've never been forced, guilted or expected to buy passes during a clash or during the normal week.

When and they did this thread turn in to an attack on The Georgian?

As Jimbog mentions above, everyone is free to join or leave any CC. If you don't like what you see about our CC then thats fine, but don't pass judgement on things you either don't know or don't understand.

OK hamster-boy, if you're going to quote from the club site, use the entire quote.

"Please remember to use your FREE Country Club passes as often as you can, on days in a row bonuses. Save purchasing passes for Club Clashes."

I asked about this early on after joining.  While I will admit it could be worded better, it is asking you to use free passes as much as you can.  No one is required to buy passes, but if we choose to buy a pass, just do that for the clashes. With a free pass every four hours during a clash, it is possible to play almost a dozen clash rounds for free. Most of us played fewer rounds than that. If you were able to access our forums you'd see that no one is asked to play in the clashes.  In this past clash, about 177 of us played.  If we all were required to play in clashes, as you seem to imply, then about 70 members would be on their way out.  And, that's not happening.  We are asked to contribute daily if we can. And, we're told that before joining. If you miss a day here and there, that's fine. I've averaged over 1,400 points a day since joining, and have rarely bought a pass to maintain that.  No one is requiring me to do that.  I play at least one round a day, and time it so the free pass gets the daily xp bonus.  I do that to help the club, but I also do it to level up faster to have access to better equipment.  I did the same thing in the club I was in before the Georgian, and that club didn't participate in clashes.  I simply like to maximize my points, and found a club that values that.  I would continue to maximize my points even if I decided to leave the club.

    Well said Kev.

Our club is full of like minded people. Good participation (at a quick glance about 95% have played in the past 48 hours), good banter in the forum and a good level of communication from the owner and the directors. If its not for you, cool. I have no problem with that, but if you are truly enjoying your own CC then there is no reason to spite, hate and criticise the bigger ones.

Now, if we can get back to this thread's title, CC EVENT # 10, that would be ideal.

I THINK THAT IT SHOULD BE SPILT UP INTO CC SIZE , WE COULD NEVER WIN BECAUSE OF THE SIZE OF OUR CLUB  ,WE HAVE 66 MEMBERS AND CAN'T COMPETE WITH BIGGER CLUBS THAT HAVE 250. I THINK IT SHOULD START 100 OR LESS AND GO UP TO DIFF SIZE CLUBS MEMBERS FROM THERE.. I WILL NOT SPEND ANYMORE OF MY MONEY UNTIL THEY DO SOMETHING. I THINK THAT WGT ARE RIPPING US OFF.

Well apart from the subject of opponent selection, you are correct:

This "Competition" can only be won by spending the most credits, and it's only realistic goals is to to create revenue for our hosts. Not worth to spend any money as a player IMHO.

P.S. Please use capital and lower letters as usual if you want any further answers from me.

"Congratulations to The Georgian CC for another win ..    LOL    WHAT A JOKE !"

That was the original post, perhaps it was sincerely congratulating you.

From Fatty501:    "When investigating this it became apparent I was not in a country club anymore.  After personally emailing the owner several times, she responded to only one wishing me well with breast cancer tests.  Then told me it must have been mistaken identity why I was booted out.  GUTLESS more like."

    From yourself:

"You might wander why I know the above to be fact being that I'm just a member and the Directors and Owner make the calls, the fact is we speak openly about all removals in the forum. So before you start throwing stones, get your facts straight."

So was it mistaken identity by committee?

I don't  really care about what your cc does but I have noticed the absence of your replies to FATTY501, perhaps there's a simple reason.  It just seems odd as you've replied to other criticisms of your cc and to me these seem the most damning.

Also you say you want change but are completely unwilling to bring it about by not spending on the clashes.

Too much drama for just one golden putter to a club that then have to decide who gets it.

Just isn't anything worth playing for really.   I love the idea of the competitive part of it if only it was set up with any sense.
