    PhiEaglesFan:

After all, Mr. Integrity, there's plenty of code out there for you to rip off of other's websites and call it your own.  Is that personal enough for you?  That was a tough way to learn a lesson about HTML metadata, wasn't it? Oh yeah, I know all about that.  You figure if you're gonna steal someone's code you could at least change the metadata.

Was that just a one-time thing or do you frequently engage in the online theft of other people's intellectual properly?  Don't poke the bear my friend.  It only turns out well for the bear.

You have mistaken me for someone else I believe.  I've never had an intellectual property claim against me.

I agree 2000%(watch someone lecture me that it is impossible) with PhiEaglesFan.  He is correctamundo.  I think some people just like to complain.  I am guilty of it but in the end I accept what the game has given us and find it very consistent.

Quite the wordsmith, indeed.  How does one not get tired from all that spinning?  You want to get all L.A. Law on me? Alright...

"I've never had an intellectual property claim against me".   Bad idea.

While your statement may very well be true, it's entirely irrelevant.  It does not negate or address the fact that you still stole someone's intellectual properly.  You did steal it, and then you tried to pass it off as your own.  That, my friend makes you a thief.  Was that not clear enough?  You're a thief, andy.  Take your "integrity" values elsewhere.

Saying you "didn't face charges"  is just a semantics game.  Another piss-poor argumentative attempt against me.  What you should have said is, "Yes, I did steal someone's code and made the stupid mistake to not change the metadata. I'm sorry for that.  I'm lucky they didn't pursue charges against me for it."  At least you could've saved some face, now your face is just rolling out the door over there.

So to summarize, you have, once again, (not so) cleverly avoided the point and now you're just out-and-out lying about it and feigning ignorance.  That's disgraceful.  You're quickly losing any and all credibility that you've earned with me over the last 7 years.  I would advise you to let it go, and I will do the same, and we'll go our separate ways. Are you able to let it go?  I would.

I'd recommend you think twice about challenging me in the future to your games of semantics.  Everything I've said can be proven, except for one inconsequential detail on which you seem to be fixated.  What exactly have you proven today, other than that you know how to make a complete ass out of yourself in a public setting?

As I said, I'm done with you until you turn off the spin-machine and start addressing actual facts.  Last time I let myself get sucked back in. This time I won't.  Enjoy your "last word". I sure hope it's, "sorry" to the person that you so carelessly ripped off.

For the record, MBaggese and I were not disconnected. Despite a few timeouts as we chatted it up, there were no issues.

Sarah has played more rounds than the essay writer above. I think she knows how hard to hit a ball by now.

I'm sure you've read the reply by that disillusioned Eagles fan by now (okay, I'm a Cowboy fan), but trust me when I say that he know's of what he speaks.

I never implied that the content of his diatribe was incorrect, however this thread WAS about shots coming up short. Something that has become more prevalent recently. Both Sarah and I have played enough games to know when things are just wrong.

Indeed, she did not say anything negative about the content of my post itself.  It is She, right?

diatribe - a forceful and bitter verbal attack against someone or something

That seems a tad over-exaggerated, no?  I wouldn't qualify my first post as forceful, bitter or an attack against anyone or anything.  Nor was it verbal, but that's not the point.

You assumed that I was coming from a  "stupid girls don't what you're doing" perspective, when in reality it was closer to, "here's some tips, you may not know some or any of this, hope it helps".  I would've posted my suggestions in that manner on anyone else's post about the same topic.

That's what I did 7 years ago.  I helped people get better, because that's what someone helped me do once.  I used to complain about broken things too, then someone woke me up when I thought I was already awake.  You know who that was?  My biggest rival.

My intent was never to insult you or Sarah or to insinuate lack of knowledge.  As you can see throughout this thread, I don't beat around the bush vis-a-vis speaking out when necessary.  No games or underlying tones from me, I promise.  What you see is what you get.

I've been told that I come off startlingly direct at times, and quite matter-of-fact.  I accept that as true.  So, if the perspective that I was trying to come from was not initially made clear to you, then I must apologize for that.  The intent was only to assist.  I just tend to have a lot to say on specific topics.  For example, this game and its development/gameplay.

I hope that clears up any misunderstandings.

No need for apologies but Sarah did state that her comments were based on feedback from her CC. Something that you just brushed over.

As an owner of a busy country club I get a lot of feedback and I know pretty quickly when new problems occur.

I realize that you don't have that advantage as your club owner has gone AWOL and your forum resembles a ghost town. Have a nice day.

If the majority was always right, Vegas wouldn't be in business.  People are frequently wrong, often due to perception or rather, a lack thereof.  So no, I don't always accept that people are seeing what they think they believe they are seeing.  Witnesses in major crimes often have different stories.  Vegas makes its living on the majority being wrong.  Misperception can be critical, especially if there's a mob mentality.

Cute.  Passive aggressive much?  Did you "get" me?

Club owner is not AWOL, I speak to him daily.  Most members got bored after many years playing and moved on to other games, some of them together.  Some found more important real-life things to do.  Some hang out in IRC, but don't play much, if at all. Some will maybe return to the game after a few years, like me.  We've never bothered to recruit again because we've been there. Done that.  Now it's more about the people we've met with which we have formed real friendships.  Many of our members have visited others, gone out for group golf outings etc.  Our club has never been about a rotating door of experience points.

Deviations was the top clan for quite a long time.  Did you forget that whole time when, as per the forum, WGT and the Deviations were all in collusion, cheating all of you out of your hard earned monies, and that icon was the liaison between it all?  There was also, "deviations are getting favorable programming from WGT"  or something similar, among many other baseless, intelligence-lacking insults/thoughts.  So please, let's not talk about our fake Country Clubs, on fake golf games, on the internet, ok?

It's just a game.  It's not that important.

Pretty strong words.  Can you back them up?  How about a link to the website who's code you say I stole?  Or a link to the website you say I claim as my own? Screen shots? Something so I know WTH you're talking about.

None of what you say is true, I never "ripped off" anyone's code.

I'm not into history. It's a shame that WGT don't do monthly league tables based on active players.
