...only distance that matters to me, is the distance from where I'm standing to the closest beer cart.....lol

While I can appreciate Philly Fan's perspective on the issue, I think you're wrong, or naive. Not to take anything away from your recommendations, I just don't think you fully understood the complaint. I've been playing the game for over 4 years. Maybe not as long as you have, but I know how far my clubs hit the ball, regardless of wind, spin, lie, etc. When you hit a 120 yard shot - that you've hit hundreds of times before - and it ends up 15 yards short of the green, it's not an issue with anything you've done... it's a glitch in the game, period.

This particular glitch made me quit playing. We continually present bugs in an easily understandable manner, and our complaints continually go unanswered. If a new feature broke our ability to buy balls, I've got a crisp $1 bill that says it'd be fixed within the hour. But something that doesn't affect their bottom line is a non-priority, and when our playing of the game in a fair and glitch-free environment becomes a non-priority to those who present us with said game, it makes me feel like a non-priority. You can't treat your customers as though they don't matter without repercussions.

Unfortunately I'm in the minority, so my quitting will likely have little effect on WGT's desire to get the glitches straightened out.

    Sad, really.

    PhiEaglesFan:
I remember many years ago (back when we only had 2 club sets and one course to play) when people would complain that the 7-iron was broken.  150yd full spin 7-iron goes 138-ish.  It was never broken. It was just trajectory and spin (and poor clubs).

According to WGTIcon, HERE, they were broken.

    Hi

As far as I know, we never downgraded performance of the equipment you own. In past, there were some clubs that were fixed, such as on old raptures and g10's (7iron), but it was not the performance of the club set that was fixed, but actual club that was not working as intended.

The G10s aren't what he's talking about. Raptures and G10s came after BPB.

FWIW, I think the post is spot on. I don't do any of what he suggests but that's only because I already know pretty much what my clubs/ball combo does just by playing a lot and paying attention. Feel golfers do that.

If one understands how deviation, precision and VEM work, just about any shot result can be explained away. One very key point in the post was the reference to the clubs not being linear-10% less swing doesn't mean 10% less yardage. I think this gets overlooked a lot and can explain a whole lot of short shots.

A big help in analyzing these types of issues would be for WGT to provide a replay that included everything about the shot: club used, the spin, the power, the meter/ding and where the aim was set.

Sarah has played more rounds than the essay writer above. I think she knows how hard to hit a ball by now.

I'm sure you've read the reply by that disillusioned Eagles fan by now (okay, I'm a Cowboy fan), but trust me when I say that he know's of what he speaks...well, don't trust me..and all that have poor shot's throughout a round and don't adapt, can continue on thinking "WGT has changed"...

Okay, I'm heading back to the dark recesses again.

Let the Pro-WGT-is-manipulating-my-game crowd, carry on.

I must be getting old, I recall it as the 8 iron having issues with the G10's?

I think back in the time, (whether it be the 8 or the 7 iron), many complained about off/odd shots with the same club in different sets?, I just tried not to drive into the range that I needed to used that club.

The point of it was to play what the game gives you.  The details are inconsequential, so whether or not I got them exactly correct from 7 years ago is not important.  However, this conversation is about the here, the today, the now. And this is what happens here, today, now.

    @YJ: Thank you, sir.

@Mbaggese: I'm sorry to hear you're a Cowboys fan.  I'll try not to hold that against you.  I love your posts though.

@Kelsey12: Maybe try coming back, put some of this into practice and see if things change for you.  If not, nothing lost, but if it does help, then you're back to playing and enjoying the game again.  Send me a friend request, let's play.  You've got nothing to lose.  Give it a shot. =)

da Boyz have played six games and are 2-4 in a very weak NFC east division...behind da Giants, da Redskins (really?)...and da Iggles.... they also have 4 x losses....in a row.

I'm thinking Thomas Brady already getting measured for his 5th ring. (just sayin')

    ......and now...back to Hockey...:)
