This might seem like a daft question, but where did you drag the aimer to when you made the shot?
If you drag the aimer to behind one of the cameras, and then you use that camera to view your shot set up, the aimer can jump to a completely different place if you accidently click somewhere on the game screen. I know that sounds a bit like gobbledegοok, but perhaps my video will explain it a little better.
The key thing to remember is, if you can't see the aimer on screen (I don't mean on the minimap), DON'T click on the screen. Obviously, clicking on the game buttons etc is okay, but not anywhere else on the course.
