There is really no excuse to be missing the ding with 3.5 meter clubs, no excuse.

The WGT Rock, that's mine and I'm stickin' to it.

That's a good one Zio ;-}  Yep, with that ball all bets are off

Oh to be able to replace my 3i and PW with an Adams hybrid and a Cleveland 115yrd wedge.

All quite acedemic - since if i don't receive my 4,760 credits for a Trial-Pay offer that I completed - i will sell everything , gift clubs to friends and leave.

Here you go - Ladbrokes casino - Deposit £5 , bet £5 and get 4,760 creds - offer takes 24hours to complete.

That was 2 days ago. Now no-one is admitting the offer exists and ladbrokes have my money - which was the last of my cash in my bank till payday.

Customer services wanted confirmation e-mails as proof - which I sent and they said they would credit me. Now they are telling me to contact Trial Pay - which is how I did it in the first place to get there.

    Both have received this.....................................

Quite clear that I opened the account with £6 and bet £6 as my 1st bet.   Both Cust. services and Trial Pay have copies of this but are now telling me to wait one week.

This is so annoying and even more so , since I can't play as that was my ball-money for the rest of the week and I have only starters left.    So much for waiting a month for the V-forge irons. I'll never buy them cash and can't win a tourney with Hacks shooting 54's all over the place.

So , if i don't get the creds then I really will be hanging my hat-up and saying goodbye.

My last ball went in the drink at St A 1st shot in a wild deviation that just about sums-up the whole lousy , rotten deal. It's been up and down the last 3 months here and I weathered the lot , but this is a blatant rip-offf and I can't pretend any longer that it's doing me any good to be here.

No criticism to anyone else pouring money into the site - up to you.  But I saw this offer and went for it because it was ideal for me - what an idiot to think it would ever go right.

Thankyou WGT for waking-up this old fool.     Enjoy the $250 I've already spent.   There won't be any more if you can't man-up and sort me out.

Ha.  Bertha 3 wood?     That was my next step after the v-forges and before the RSi2's. Guess I'll never get to try those RZN blacks.  No worries.

As Sweetie-Pie alludes about the Bertha - if you can't ding a 3.5 meter at l89 then what the hell have you been doing for 88 levels?

    Bummer dude

    Baldace:

I have found that the L97 is a tad more forgiving if you miss the ding. The L89 was a total nightmare if missed. The L97  missed usually means i'm still on the course :)..

This is the answer to the ops question.

It's very hard to ding with the L89, miss it then ya in deep trouble.  I still think there is something wrong with that club.

L97 is pretty good, I'm hitting the ding more often and if I slightly miss it's not too bad...  as it should be.

Apart from that,  the distance for both clubs are very good.  The extra distance for the L97 is better and helps to get over some lakes in heavier winds.

I can assume that for players with 4 wedges - the Bertha is a necessary to replace the driver

I think for anyone with high level V-Forged irons, not being able to carry driver, 3 wood and 4 wedges is not really an issue.  With the L97 ones the PW included hits 120 yards full, 103 punched and plays nearly as well as an ATV wedge.

Back in the days when Burners were the best irons it might have been nice to be able to carry 4 wedges, now the top irons are so good it isn't necessary.

Nice to hear you got the credits sorted by the way.  I like a happy ending.

Given that we are talking all sorts of club and ball combos, I have noticed in a few of my matches that some legends are still using hybrids ...this strikes me a bit odd as their 3 iron goes the same distance. It seems to me they could replace the hybrid with a club they would get more use out of...perhaps another wedge?...I think most higher level players already subscribe to this (once they qualify for the 225 yd 3 iron).

Is there any advantage to a hybrid over a 3 iron of equal range?

    Waste of bag space.
