Hoping someone with computer knowledge can help me out.

I have a decent Samsung laptop about 3/4 years old which i play all my WGT on. A few months ago i started having some trouble playing the game with others where it just kept spinning me out and then this developed into single play games.

When i click camera to change screen to view landing area it just keeps spinning and i have to close and reload screen. On a bad day i may have to reload after every shot!!!!

Ive cleared caches and unistalled flash player and done all the usual stuff(i think) buts its still not right.

Its not as bad since reinstalling adobe flash player but its still happening.

Short of buying a new laptop i just do not know where to go with this.

Thanks in advance for any help and please keep it simple as i really dont have a clue when it gets technical LOL

    Mike

Thanks Dave but im afraid it is.

Ive had several people log into my account and play without problem just to make sure.

Only today i played a 9 hole comp and had to reload 11 times, if this was widespread the forums would be in revolt LOL

First off you mention Laptop, so are you connected by wifi or hardwire? I would look into your connectivity and eliminate that as a problem.

Not saying that it is but you have to start somewhere.

Then I'd do a complete clean of temp files, cache and then run malware and virus scans.

    Then check your internet speeds.

...and after doing all that, go back to Dave's reply for the real answer.

I'll ask for troubleshooting purposes..  Did they log in on your computer with their account just to see if it did the same for them?  or....  did they log in to your account from their location just to see if it would happen to your account on their computer?

I'd start with internet connectivity, maybe even resetting the modem and/or router.  Then check for updates on the laptop and even updating the drivers.

    Whoopsie!

That is a violation of WGT's TOS and can get you banned from WGT.

I was experiencing what you are almost to a tee and getting very frustrated as well. I then started looking in the forums and saw a few mentioning their happiness with using Maxthon as a browser. I made it my default browser and use it only for WGT and related stuff and all my issues cleared up immediately and this last month has been awesome.  I tried a few internet browsers and found Maxthon worked for my equip and connection. Hope that helps.

I have a Toshiba going on 6 years old now. I doubt you need a computer. Most of the answers here steer you to your internet connection and that could very well be the problem because you're describing problems caused by slow loads. That could be your ISP, WGT or any of the servers between you and WGT. It's unusual that it's so persistent for you which leads me to believe your problem might be elsewhere, like the browser you're using.

I can't play in Chrome for love or money. It just plain doesn't handle the game well but it's my choice for a default browser so I use a separate browser for the game. Try that. Get another browser like Maxthon or Comodo Dragon and use it only for the game. Don't even go to the main page, set the home screen to the game client address and go directly to the game. Use your other browser for looking at WGT stuff and surfing.

You indicated things got a little better after your Flash change. Let that be a clue and if you choose to monkey with Flash, like going to an earlier version, make sure you do it by the Flash book in the order they say.  GL.
