Last ball

  When I have hit the last shot on the last ball of a certain type I get 2 options:
  1. Buy a new packet of similar balls
  2. Continue with unlimited balls.
  But what I really want is to use another type og balls from my equipement.

  Thats the way it works in real golf, where we can change balls on every tee.
  When we have played with a test ball, maybe a gift, and that ball ends or get lost, the obvious thing is to continue with our regular balls from our bag.

  Rules of golf is you have to finish the round with the same type ball you started. Once you start a game, the other balls you have in your bag are not available. There is a third option for you, buy some more of the balls you are using before you play so you won't get the "last ball" message.

  I'm sorry, no. This stipulation is outside the RoG.

  In WGTland, this is wrong, too, I'm afraid.
  There's only one ball type in the bag, and it is blocked against exchanges with the inventory (imagine your garage).

  In real golf there is no rule about using same type of ball, not even when you loose a ball and have to take another. In the rulebook - rule #15 it says that you have to hole out with the ball you hit from tee, with exceptions lost ball and similar. This also means that you are free to change to another ball on the next tee. But of couse WGT golf is not exactly as real golf. They have modified the game to simplify programming, and that I can undestand. If not I fear we would have a very slow game here.
