Played my match against Bill (wlw61) tonight. Bill took a 1up lead on the first hole.  I won the second to bring the match back to all square. Things stayed there until the fourth where I took a 1up lead, and then went on to 2up on the sixth. Bill won the eight to cut my lead to 1up. We then halved every hole until the fifteenth which Bill won to square the match. Sixteen, seventeen, eighteen all halved. So off we went to extra holes. We both hit nice approaches into the green on the first extra hole and both had putts for birdie. My putter finally woke up and I managed to make birdie, while Bill missed his birdie try by just wee bit. It was a hard fought match by both and I was fortunate to come out a winner 1up.  Bill is a great golfer and a very nice guy to boot.  Thanks so much Bill, hope to meet you on the course again some time soon.

    Regards

    Jonathan

    Nico,

I have wlw61 losing to jrice in 20 holes, so 1 pt for us and 2 for you.

They don't appear on list above in this forum but they are on my list and they played, lol.  The last line must have been chopped off by mistake.

    Tom.

Had a most enjoyable game against a very talented Annaswing.

It proved to be a very close match where neither of us could get a lead over the other, literally matching each other shot for shot.

The match was all square after 9 and it stayed that way until the 17th when Anna pulled off a magical shot on the long par 3 hitting to within a few feet. That proved to be enough to take the match.

Thank you Anna for a great game and well played

    Pip

Below copied from our forum, not played a game which went down to 1 ball hanging over hole after playing 28 holes.

What an amazing game with Birdieeaglesby (David), we played 17 holes the night before and were all square going down 18th before disconnected. We agreed to play back 9 the following evening.

So we set off, i took an early lead then David came back to lead then back all square again after 18th so extra holes it was......so thats 17 plus 9 so 26 holes lol. We then tied the 1st extra hole so off to 11th. David had birdied and eagled this in regular game so i feared the worst. His putt for birdy actually hung half ball over hole, so so unlucky. I then putted my 6 footer in to win game 1UP after extra hole. 28 holes to end that way was incredible. Great lad and we will be playing again ( somewhere else though lol)....Cheers mate, gr8 stuff.

Bubbsboy wins 1 up in extra holes (lots of them, LOL).

With a slight breeze across my last putt, I think we may still be playing.

    I enjoyed it very much.

Thanks to everybody for setting up the tourney and thanks to Bubbs for a great match.

    David

Sounds a right good ding-dong battle. Good win Darren.

I've a wee bit of sympathy for David though...  posted first thing this morning after suffering a similar fate (UK time)

    :)
