im not saying you are wrong just that different things work for different people

When your 1-putt stat is 40%, I'm guessing you're still looking for what works??

It must be tedious for people with genuine questions - looking for advice on how to play the game - sifting through various responses to sort out the wheat from the chaff. Why would I want advice on putting from people with stats way below my own who clearly cannot putt??? I see it constantly in the forum -- a mix of real subject matter experts who can play the game seriously well, are contradicted by people who simply do not have the game to back up their assertions on how to play.

Since the addition of CC green speed selection, I have developed a more flexible standard regarding scale selection. The scale one may use on a Champ-13 green may change if the same putt were on a Standard speed green.

    lies,damn lies and statistics

for my first 2 years here i only used starter balls and clubs so needless to say i wasnt exactly leaving tap ins for my starter putter and balls if my stats reset every time i tiered up im sure that percentage would be over 60 percent,

besides when i miss putts it tends to be down to misreading breaks or missing the ding rather than hitting it too soft or too hard

Any putt that would make me go more than half way on the putter scale, I use the next scale up. I have the L94 Method, if I have a 7 foot putt, I use the 20 foot scale. 1) less travel for the meter to the "ding".  2) less travel = smoother meter. Takes a little time to get use to but it works.

That's a great tip. I never looked at it that way. I'm going to try it. Thanks.
