Unfortunately, the only legitimate sport, Hockey, didn't crack the top ten.

Maybe they should get rid of that part of the game where they shuffle the little black disc around the ice and just stick to the fighting?

Just a thought, I'm no expert mind...

When I was little we lived on a farm next to a fancy Golf course ,  My Dad would walk the woods by hole # 3 looking for lost balls . I would go to the green and roll balls at the hole .

The man that took the flags in at the end of the day would chat with Dad sometimes and he called me OPY , I kind of looked like OPIE from the TV show at the time . That man gave me a cut down regriped putter one day and would spend some time with me showing me how to use it ,   He gave me a cut down wedge , 5 and 3 iron the next year . He told me how to play the game and how to respect the Course and fellow players . He would let me play hole # 3 and the short # 4 over and over so long as none of the club members were playing .

Many years latter I joined the golf club in middle school , I was the only one so I had to play with the big boys in High school , The first course we got to play was the one next to the old farm , as we walked in the man at the counter saw me and said good to see you OPY . The big boys were sure that was funny and started giving me a hard time . The man then said to the other boys , My name is Mr Tincher and I am the course Pro and have seen OPY play the game .

I tied for first that day and earned some respect from the team , But that name OPY has stuck with me over the years with the friends I made .

Euclid is a place I live

LMFAO Paul.........you mean there really is a little black disc? I thought the sticks were only for hitting other players!

So wtf is the black disc for?

PS - Great story Opy...very cool. Not often nicknames last......luckily.....but that is another story.

Some of your WGT golfer names are very interesting ,  Please tell me how the  %$#@!  did you come up with that !

I let the computer decide my WGT golfer name because I thought I would only play once or twice .. LOL

born a poor country boy in SE Arkansas and  with nothing else to cheer for except the UA (Razorbacks) (which I am a big fan), all my friends started calling me hog(Hogs)head(like that is all I talked about)

some people think the name refers to Harley's (motorcycle)...nope.  had a few accidents on those and haven't ridden in 38 years.

the xxx's were put in because some numb-nuts already took just 'hoghead' and that is all I could think of to be placeholders

Well the story behind my WGT name is pretty simple. When I retired from the Royal Marines after 22 yrs. I needed to do something to stay active and fit, maybe earn a wage too !!

A close friend had a fencing business, so I went and worked for him. Loved it too and the money was surprisingly good too ...... kept me in beer !

The 100 bit is the most common distance we would nearly travel on winter exercises in Norway, and that was miles too !!

    Simple really
