AUTO SWITCH FOR RED

  Would it be too difficult for WGT to bring in an auto switch to RED, which means a player has to physically switch it green when they want to play.  I am so sick to death of inviting players who are green to receive the message "playing in a game".  Why is that even an option on the reply box when it could so very easily be easily cured.  Everyone is red unless they choose to opt in.

  Green that only lasts for 5 minutes maybe, unless you click stay green?..............Hmm like the drift:)

  How about:

  1) Because maybe I wouldn't mind playing a game but not with you, and it's more tactful to say "I'm already playing" than "I don't want to play with you" 

  2) Maybe I'm playing an Unlimited Tournament and wouldn't mind getting an invite if I am doing poorly, but not if I'm doing well.

  3) Some people just forget to change off of green when they don't want invites (I'm guilty of this myself); don't you think those same people will forget to change to green.

  4) It would certainly cause some other sort of "bugs"

   

  Just my thoughts on it.

  For what its worth, I may have a possible 'solution' to this problem, just something I've noticed when playing (and if someone can confirm this, wonderful!).

  Each status on your friends list has friends listed alphanumerically from 1-Z.  But Red & Green statuses each yield 2 sets of alphanumeric lists, seen clearly when one has many friends active.  For Green, I've surmised that the upper set is folks active but not playing while the lower set is people playing a round.  Same for Red, the lower set is folks actively playing a single-play or multiplayer round, the upper set being the 'I'm not playing but don't bother me' crowd.

  I like it just how it is , Sometimes I stay green ( In the lobby ) looking for a game that was pre set up ( CC vs CC game or like )  . When I find that game I go red but some times forget ( could be old age or a few drinks or what ever )  .

  I just do not see a reason to change something that works now cause some people forget to change or are just to lazy .

  I just stay hidden most of the time. Only time I turn green is when some of my fellow CC members are available. If they invite me to play, great if not I go back into hiding.
