    Hope that's some help

Heh, in the space of about 15 minutes you can map the fbs 64W. A piece of tape with some marks on it under the meter and you're all set.  LOL

You don't even need marks. At least with the Cleveland wedges. Using avatar movements each movement down from the top is 5 yards so it is quite easy to gauge the distance on the in between shots.

I'm not sure ( too lazy to look at equipment) what wedges you're using Paul, but my ATV's at full or near full power, especially into a breeze, produce enough bs to stop the ball, and then allow it to roll out a hop or two, just like a RLG shot.  As the distance decreases  I add more bs.  It just might be me or my equipment, but I hardly have ever use fbs except in very strong tailwinds.  I consider wind into my face free bs, and relative to the amount of headwind so far I have been able to luckily guess how much bs to use at different power levels, and in different wind conditions  Try getting a feel for the extra roll out that is produced from the shorter yardages you mentioned and after awhile, hole outs become common when rolling the green dot into the proper position.

I have almost exclusively saved punches for hole outs on my profile page, maybe looking at a few of them and seeing how the ball reacts at different yardages/camera angles will clue you in to getting a feel for these stroke shaving shots.

Shot low and keep the faith--- Ed

He has max wedges , so one mans spin is another mans tears , it without the right spin is + - 30 yards

Find a good spot in practice, and see where it will go, rinse and repeat.

From 27 to 35 I always use full shot type. Never punch and never flops (if u use flops u have the reason for low holeout percentage).

Using full backspin is a guarantee for correct distance.

Im using the RTX 2.0. and Nike Platinum ball.

27Y is around 59% full back. 35Y is 68% full back. No wind.

    But...

Learn not to use full back spin. It decreases the amount of hole outs. Roll the ball to the hole so only apply backspin at severe pin positions or rather hard tailwind.

Neutral spin or topspin (espeially on a course like Pebble) is the best way but experience is needed. Predicting ball behavoior is much easier just continuing the line instead of guessing sideway jumps on a curly green using backspin.

Then take a practice round in as little wind as possible and get a piece of paper.Take mulligans and write down distances for 40%, 45%, 50% and so on. Do it for different lies.

After some times distances are in your memory. Below 60 yards approaches with a following 1 putt will be way over 90 %.

The stock shot for me would be a no spin punch. However depending on the shot it could be a fbs pitch with 56W(eg Merion from of 6th green abt 30yd) or a fbs punch with 64W (30 yd short of 6th green at St And).

    Awesome tips there!

But again, HE IS using the Max meter wedges , so no tip from the perfect cleves will help that guy.
