I have been running successfully with NO glitches or meter lag other than things that occur on MY end and my specs are from my work computer not even my gaming machine.

The Work Computer is an OLD E Machine with Upgraded RAM (Still Using IDE Hard Drives:)

    Windows Vista Business

    OLD AMD 2.2Ghz Processor

    2 GB Memory

    nvidia GeForce 6100 nForce405

So if this system is capable of running it, then people should quit complaing and make sure their system is

A.)Free From Bloatware (Commmonly installed by your PC manufacturer ... start a task manager and see whats running

    B:)Defragged

C:) Make sure your antivirus is not hogging your resources.

maybe you dont realize that WGT likes to put up smoekscreens to solve small solutions and have no honest solution to the main problem..

Wow, you have been here just under a month and have become the WGT knowledge base. We thank you for your sudden expertise on this site. BTW you remind me so much of X of many numbers.

Not quite sure what you mean by this part of your statement.. do i remind you of alot of other players.. represented by the variable X.. or do i remind you of a certain player?

as for my extensive knowledge base on WGT.. its not so much a knowledge base on WGT per-say and more of a vast knowledge of computer systems, server systems and networking in general, and actionscripting..

that plus icon answering a couple of key questions i had on specifics related to WGT... and the exstensive info that people keep throwing at me in my threads..

    its simply 1+1=2 after that...

No, your computer knowledge I do not doubt but rather your knowledge of the history and how things were done prior to your arrival is what amazes me....X was a player who had a way of coming across as very condescending and rude, which to be honest some of yours have at times.

Edit: I could be wrong in my perception if I am excuse me.

Well anything I have stated has come directly from the first 30 pages of the "active threads" over about the past 2 weeks (when i began reading the forums) + the FAQs + what others have brought up during argueing with me..

If any of it is something that was done "in the past" thats coincidence because I thought everything i have covered was all present day items..

And as for the condescending and rude tones.. I accept that.. sometimes i do come off as that and sometimes i mean to and sometimes i dont..

charlie... this game is a play-at-your own risk game.. that has a completely free option.. it is solely up to you whether you want to invest (risk) money on it.. the admins themselves post a minimum and suggested requirements list.. as well as admit there seems to be a consistant meter glitch and have done just about everything they can from their end to fix it.. short of upgrading their servers to the max possible (which can get costly)...

on another note.. 99% of the time the meter glitches are due to 5 things.. that are completely at your control and are up to you whether you invest money IN THEM... these are as follows...

    1. a high speed multi-core processor.. having one will allow your computer to both process the gui of the game as well as the motion captures at high rates of speed with very little to no latency.

    2. speed of your isp... different isp's have different types of internet service including but not limited to high speed broadband, bossted high speed broadband, t1, t3, dial up, dsl, boosted dsl, wireless broadband... upgrading your isp to a faster more online game friendly speed or carrier will help aid your meter problems..

    3. amount of RAM... I know the game suggests having 2GB of Ram to run properly.. but this is in fact more of a minimum than anything.. if you want the best out of your performance, then you have to pay for it.. therefore i suggest going with 4 to 8 GB alongside the multi-core processor for best results.

    4. Video Card... I'm willing to bet most people who play this game are running the base video card that came with their computer stock... while this is capable of running the game on most new computers just fine.. you will still have issues.... your best case scenario is to purchase an aftermarket video card (which they make some specifically for online gaming with better latency parameters) that has a minimum of 1GB of RAM built into the card.

    5. Browser you use... most ppl have found that using the Google Chrome browser seems to have the best performance when it comes to latency based against firefox and internet explorer... I can attest personally that internet explorer is the worst possible with firefox being slightly better for load times but chrome being better for meter smoothness.. this is dependant though on the other 4 items listed above and how they interact with your specific hardware.

So in reality the choice is up to you.. would you prefer to use your money to upgrade these items in your computer to improve your game performance.. that could possibly pay for themselves over time (not from wgt of course since you cant actually earn anything from it)..

or do you want to take that money and instead buy balls that you may ultimately lose due to meter glitches..

    thats the plain hard facts...

Well since you "assume" everyone up here is running basic stuff. I just have to mention that I am running on one of the best possibly gaming machines available a Falcon Mach V. It's completely upgraded and cost over $5000. I've posted up here(which no one responded) with all my specs and speed tests. To prove it's not me in relation to the meter glitch. I don't have them a lot, but I do have them. On a side note, when I lose a ball, I'm not concerned about actually losing the ball but more the penalty. I also use Chrome & Iron(when chrome isn't working properly). So you can say it's us all you want. It's not.
