Whoah!      I saved it and watched it from "at the cup"?  view. After it was saved apparently.......         Let me get this completely straight.........

When it missed from .2!, I watched the replay thrice before deciding to save it, since I was sure my next hole in one on a par five was surely to come shortly after.

Now that it was saved, I realize the view I watched thrice wasn't included in the saved "version".

That being said.....How many F'ing .2 putts miss?       Did I manhandle aforementioned .2 putt to leave myself a choice of 5 or 6 iron?

Nope.....From .2 to 6". I just ain't sure how anyone would necessarily have to see it up close to know those numbers ain't right. And no offense to anyone, I just found out for myself that those "shots" are really out there.

Has anyone missed a .2 putt that wasn't short? Could you even miss it short?

Because if you can and save it and post it I will gift you a sleeve of your rocks if you miss a .2 and leave a 6 inch putt

Another point I have to include is I did not lip out......The F'in' thing walked on water and never left the line.

If you can putt one straight over the hole and hold your line to match my putt on Pebble #2 you get 2 sleeves of your rocks.

Excuse me - I never meant to say anything against you - it's just that the public replay tricked you by changing/reducing the POVs, a known occurrence.

We also know that some putts behave like cellophane on the holes which is usually put down to mapping errors. Alas, it's new to me to have a .2 ft putt miss like this.

Here, two of the game's sweet lil' mysteries come together. What remains is that beautiful and unexpected view!

I missed 2 dinged 3 inch putts last summer, and on far flatter greens.  The first putt DID lip-out,,,,whattya figure the departure error needed for that to happen is?  60 degrees? More?  The second was on August 1, just after WGT's shot rendering became a bit, uh, less than desirable so no clue as to what happened on that one.

Anyway, thank you, I feel much better now.  Good ol' WGT.

    tanneralis:
A ranked round is from the tee that reflects your tier Yankee....it never changes unless you change tiers.

Nitpickingly, this is true, because the FAQs distinguish between them. Alas, common usage here is to combine the two, stating that "ranked rounds" including tournaments are all strokeplay rounds posted in the score history, and that the averages are calculated from them, with the known exceptions.

Thus, please don't blame it on YJ only but on me, too, and all the others posting here. I have wrongly stated this a million times before, and I wonder why you haven't shared your knowledge with me?

    tanneralis:
You have been trolling around these forums forever so you should know all this lol

Now we know that you don't like YJ, but would it be necessary to go ad hominem?

It looks like the assumption presented was that a champion, tanneralis, "didn't notice the tee - pay attention next time",

..so that would assume that tanneralis just chose the club and the power without looking at one of the most commonly checked numbers of the game, plus, had memorized the distance from previous rounds, also ?

    tanneralis:
You never play from a shorter tee in a ranked stroke round.....NEVER

The longer tee is 232 yards away with a 62 foot drop and is the one that you use a 4i for. The shorter one is 218 with a 107 foot drop and plays 183 before wind. A 4i is going to sail that one all day.

JF could be on to something.  :-)

Lookin' back on it, I came off as comin' at you, Alo......Didn't mean to at all, I just got too excited to finally have one of those shots we all hear of.

Maybe it was missing an Eagle by .2 because of invisible mud covered velcro that drove me loony.

                                Back to my bin.

Dave , Watch this video and It will explain on Why you missed from so close.  Hitting the ball with too much power by accident.  I have done it before and very easy mistake to make.  Figured post this clearer video than one of my replays by Mags explaining how this occurs.
