    Catzas:

Anyone else  feel that the balls are wearing out much faster than they used to. I am scoring lower, and usually playing only one 18 hole tourney a day. My 18 hole score ranges from 2 or 3 under to par. Then I play about 2 or 3 alternate 9 hole games. I seem to be buying balls every couple of days. Just wondering??

I`m not one to complain but Yes I had a big issue mainly last week, I was playing a guy I play daily and we help each other out. Ok so a ball is taken outta play, Just the usual, I tell my mate and the following game on the 4th hole another is taken out of play?

I wrote to WGT and they tell me no changes have been made, Ok Fine but 63 shots into the 3rd ball of the day it is taken??

Each time a new ball came into play the meter went to around 80% after first hit...

In all honesty folks since the last big update I have had this problem but I speak of One particular day of 3 Nine hole games lol

We calculated that the 2 New balls were taken between 62-65 stokes

    Rant over folks lol

If I recall right, big if, without digging up a thread, think it's around 120 hits a ball, putts don't count toward this unless they are fringe.

True for the average ball of 2.5 durability as far as they were measured by users a few years ago.

Lowest count, for lower durability, was 90-95 then.

Yeah guys, The lifespan of my balls (go easy) on above post was under 65 strokes, Per ball.

According to WGT the lifespan is based `around` 100-120 strokes, Greens excluded.

I have not noticed an issue with it myself but admittedly, I don't pay much attention to it. However, I do remember playing alt with some club friends one night last week and a long time veteran member had his ball replaced from wear in the middle of a 9 hole. He mentioned it because he seemed surprised, thought he was on a fairly new ball. Halfway through the next 9 hole his ball was replaced again from wear. He was quite shocked by it. He uses the 81 Nike. Have played with him almost every night since then and he has not noticed or mentioned having the issue still.
