I think that any cleanly hit ball should not result in a loss of durability.

WGT balls don't lose durability - they perform equally until the limits of this piece of software license is expired. The company won't give away this source of steady income - more shots would be more clostly.

I understand that this is a business.  I just wonder what percentage of the 14,000,000 registered players only use the starter balls.  Perhaps a more durable ball would encourage more people to buy better balls.  Perhaps the ball could be made to become less effective over time and players themselves could chose when to switch balls.  Harder hit and mishit balls could be made to wear out sooner.  This would be more realistic.  Better players would probably switch out balls sooner than poorer players.  Perhaps more money could be made if a much larger numbers of players were to purchase them.

    Ladies & Gents....

    I have posted once already about ball durability and again, I reiterate... I hate to complain as I love this game and the people I have met, Friends mostly and some as close as family..;

That said, I have been counting strokes on my last 4 balls...........

Painful I know and really should not have to do it...

WGT sent me an email last year verifying that balls lasted between 100-120 strokes, Greens/putting excluded..

Just for the record folks I use 500c Level 61 Nike balls, I always do...!

So the last 4 balls in my monotonous count in Excel lasted...

61-67-71-84 strokes.... That being a BRAND NEW Ball each time and all taken out of play for the usual wear...

I have had problems with this ball taking since the last update but This time, Instead of 1 witness I had 2 lol

Believe it or not one of the other people I was playing Had Exactly the Same issue, 60ish hits per ball...!!

Each time a NEW ball was brought into play after 1st shot it showed up as around 70% life on meter...

60ish strokes later it was taken...!

Ladies and gents I kid you not, Since the last update of WGT I have had a serious amount of balls taken out of play, Balls that should have had another round of life in them....!!

This cannot be right guys, Like I say i`m not one for complaining but WGT tells me everything is as was....???/ IE, Nothing wrong and everything good...!

WRONG guys.... 2 round balls are as much use as *** on kippers or a chocolate kettle...

At least 12 balls since last update have lasted the life span of 7-8 balls MAXIMUM...

Apologies in advance for any none believers, I speak the truth folks and only the

    truth!!

Very good information...thank you for taking the time to compile it and post it. I was using the Callys and finding the same problem...seemed after half a dozen strokes, I was already in the red.

I was advised that WGT would never purposely alter the ball life, so I thought perhaps it was a bug unique to the Callaway brand...but you are using Nike and finding the same problem.

Some have suggested I be fitted for a tin foil hat for even suggesting there was an issue...(actually, I was agreeing with the OP who originally flagged the problem)...but you have now provided empirical evidence. The question is, what can be done about it?

Watch out for those 'flat earthers', they find it less complicated to make fun, etc. If things get sorted out here at WGT I might take some good advice to play with the free balls rather than the bug-infested, inconsistent lemon pro shop balls.

I believe I was the one who may have started this latest inquest. I'm happy to know I'm not imagining things. It's just another sneaky way to get us to part with our money sooner than later

I have no reason to doubt your words, but that would make either you or me an exception (either unlucky or a lucky one). Because both balls I use (L90 Nike blacks and L61 Nikes, when I'm up against someone, who really has no chance of winning), have always had exactly 120 strokes in them and they still do.
