I have had ownership of a country club transferred to me and i needed to delete some posts in our forum but was unable to do so as there was no delete button or pinning tools that the last owner told me were there. why is this please and how do i rectify it

I'm having the same problem and have been the owner for over a year now. When I send something to customer sevice they say to contact the moderators. I've done that several times with no resolve. All I want to do is pin several important post rather then bump them everyday. Anyone have any input. Thanks.

I had club transfered to me about 6 weeks ago Robbie and have had no problems.

We dont use WGT style forum but there were 8 posts on there and i deleted 5 and created another one and pinned it with tools provided.

    Just in case not sure

Go to post you want removed.....click edit.....accross top you have your options

Sorry if you knew that, just covering all bases

... and the mods always point to CS for concrete problems - an eternal treadmill  ...

From former reports, this seems to be a difficult problem which they might be reluctant to attack.

It is probably too late to do this now.

WGT moderators told CourteneyFish and I when the transfer of ownership of The Peoples Club was happening there was no known way to guarantee that the new owner would get all of the true ownership abilities to the new owner.

What we did was follow the best known advice in the Main WGT Forums.

Specifically, be on a PM with the existing owner and each tell the other exactly where they were before proceeding clicking anything via the PM, when the e-mail comes from WGT about the transfer use the link provided there, when the new owner accepts the ownership check 2 things: what does the CC Forum Page at the top say (it should be the new owner) then check the membership list (in our case it said Courteney was still the owner), if the new owner has the ability to boot the old owner out of the CC - BOOT them out, if the new owner of the CC does not have that ability then the old owner has to quite the CC immediately and a CC Invite to them to rejoin.

Make sure to keep refreshing the CC Home Page through out the process to make sure you are constantly seeing the most up to day information that WGT has.

In your case, if the old owner has already left or  is still there after all this time - good luck - it took Courteney 2.5 years of bugging WGT to get them to fix it for her when the same thing happened.

    Hey snakeyes,

Deleting posts from your forum is easy.

Go into the post by edit, then press the green delete at the bottom of post.

Another window comes up at the bottom to say whether you want to send the author a reason for deletion and fill that window in and then press OK.

    It disappears.

I have no idea on how to pin a post and that is something I would like to know.
