petervcpt:
It appears (on paper) to be a clear advantage over my existing iron set (Ping G25 Level 59+).
Or should I just hang on a bit, and learn how to actually play approach shots properly?
I posted this in another thread, but it also fits here. By the way, I also had been using the Ping (L59) irons before I purchased the Nike irons.
As I got closer to level 85, I started debating whether to buy the Nike irons or wait until Level 90 for the TM irons. Well, when I leveled up to L85, I got the Nike irons as a free two-hour rental. After the rental period expired, I kept getting the purchase message for a bit. One time, I accidentally clicked on "yes."
But I still hadn't really decided if I was going to buy them or wait until I hit Level 90 and get the TM irons. I even sent an email to customer support saying I purchased the irons by mistake. While I was waiting for a response, I thought about it some more and thought "I might as well keep the irons," which I did. So I sent them another message and said forget about my first message! :-)
I'm glad I did. There's a lot of golf to be played between level 85 and 90. I never regretted purchasing the Nike irons. They were great irons. But now that I have the TM irons, I do like them better.
If you haven't already done so, you might want to check out this thread:
