    EasyEdward:
You also caused Mark to leave The Peoples Club on his own

That makes no sense to me..

    Nicozandberg:
If this is the case I am truly sorry and I hope you can forgive my rants. If not I feel we were extremely courteous in above messages, as it truly was a despicable display of  unsportsmanlike and cowardice behavior.

    Nico:

Sorry you have the timing wrong - she fell during the second not first.

    and this is courteous?

What a terrible advertisement for a club of this magnitude. If I were the owner Id delete this member in seconds. Worst sportsmanship Ive ever seen on WGT (Wonder if he knew this was a voluntary friendly match?) A Disgrace.

I hate to think what you may find discourteous...

Not to mention these on Mark's wall:

    "Bad sportsmanship"

We were screening this match to 16 members. An absolute disgrace to this game and your country club. If your CC has any pride they'd boot u in a second.

    "unclassy"

mark these games are supposed to be fun, first u conceded the game and went to buy some more balls, then wanted a restart with no mention of me being in front. then u quit again and was being childish. very dissapointing. my only advice is be careful with them volvic balls they are attracted by water

    " Bad Attitude"

Seriously unclassy Mark , the way you represented your CC there was nothing short of a disgrace.

Yup very classy gentlemen to make your assumptions and rub those in.

In the meantime let me PM Mark and find out how his wife is doing.

    EasyEdward,

I can't speak about what any other members of SEL may have done in reaction to the results of another match or other experiences in this friendly CC matchup.  What I can speak to about them is that they have always been very supportive and encouraging to me and the other members of the club.  This is a great group of guys and gals -  I am proud to be a member of the SEL club.

Now - regarding my match with Karen/KDavenport2.  Let's clear the air about that just a little bit.  When I found out she was my opponent I sent a friend request and she accepted within 24 hours.  I then saw her online a few times in the early AM hours (we are in the same time zone - CST).  I tried sending her a message about setting up the match but got no response.  I waited a couple of days, and tried again - no response.  I waited a couple of days, and posted on her wall asking about setting up the match.  Again - no response.  I saw her online and sent a message asking if she wanted to play then - no answer.

After two "no answers" I let NICO know and he suggested the wall post.  After that did not work, he reached out to your club (not sure who) and LadyChipper got involved as a go between for communications because Karen was not getting any WGT messages with a reason that WGT knew about the problem and was working on it.  I thought whatever -- perhaps something will get done to get it scheduled.  Marion/LC came back with a couple of suggested game times that I could not make because of family plans.  I said I could play anytime on Monday since I was working from home that day (I have no access to WGT during US business hours due to corporate firewalls) and could use my home PC.  Back and forth, we agreed on 1:00 PM Monday.  I was online and waiting.  Karen didn't show, and I sent Marion a message saying that I would stay on until 1:30.  Karen finally got online at 1:31 and I sent the invite.  She accepted and apologized for being late, saying it was because "it took a long time for WGT to reboot".  An odd statement.

Here is how the match went:

    #1 -- Halved with Pars

#2 - Karen went +1 -- won with conceded par putt after she conceded my bogey putt

    #3 - I won hole AS again -- don't remember our scores

#4 -- Halved hole with bogeys

#5 - Halved hole with pars

#6 -- Halved hole with birdies

#7 - Halved hole with bogeys.  Still AS

    #8 - I won with a birdie -- +1

#9 -- Halved hole with Birdies

#10 - I put my tee shot about 5 feet from hole, she put hers in the water and conceded the hole -- now I'm +2

#11 -- Halved hole with bogeys

    #12 - I won with birdie -- now +3

    #13 -- I won with birdie -- now +4 with 5 to go

She makes a comment about not liking the speed of the greens (set by default at 12).  I try to explain it is a default setting and she says she is going to call someone.  Timer is running, so I tee off on 14.

She disconnects -- yes for the third time, I was counting.  Of course I get message that she has forfeited game.

I sent a message to LadyChipper AND Nico explaining what happened and asking what could be done.  I said I would be willing to restart and would prefer that the match be settled on the course.  I saw Karen online, and sent 2 different invites 10 minutes apart.  Declined.  There was a little back and forth with LadyChipper, one had a request from Karen that the shot timer be 90 seconds instead of 60 -- I replied that would not be a problem.  That was yesterday afternoon.  Got a message today from Marion that she had not heard back from Karen.

This is a game and should be fun.  In one of her messages, Marion tried to explain that Karen was a relatively new Legend and wasn't used to the new level yet.  I can relate to that if it is indeed true -- Friday marks my third week at the Legend level.  I got a little curious.  It seems Karen really prefers to play Alternate shot matches -- she plays at least three every morning and has had a great deal of success doing it.  I didn't see when she got to Legend, but it seems that inexperience doesn't really stand up based on what else I saw.

It's really too bad that the match had to end that way.

I think the Assumptions were made due to Marks Actions before His wife had fell, (I really hope she is feeling better and nothing to serious)

    1. PEnglish3 was 1Up after 5Holes, when his oppo hit his balls into the rough and pond numerous times. Mr Couples then decided to disconnect and forfeited the match.

    2. PEnglish3 waits and reinvites him after waiting and then he claims that he doesnt know what happened. He also does not offer to restart where the match ended 2dwn after 6, and demands to replay. Penglish3 concedes.

    2. They replay the game, and MarkCouples goes 3dwn after 5. Things then get silly with him letting his time expire, conceding holes on the tee etc.

If he had just forfeited or left the game without any of the above, A message would of been sent to Mark asking if everything was ok and a date to replay the game and what action in regards to Paul being 3 up etc.

Me personally would of sent a message to both captains and opponent  to explain what had happened and apologize but life comes before virtual world etc, and not quit my CC when I haven't done anything wrong.

    Ah the second, well heres a bit of a timeline;

    Game started....bits of chat

Paul was 1 up coming to 6th

Mark hit 2 balls in the water ....conceded (not disconnected)

Mark went and bought pack of volviks

10 minutes later he came back and said he can play again

Paul said they should concede up to where they were

    Mark refused

We all said forget it Paul, just go and win game then

    All well for couple holes

Paul raced to 3 up after 4

    Mark went quiet again

Paul asked again "is everything ok". Marl replied "first game was better than this"

Then he let clock start to run out around 8th, Paul was 5 up

Then 9th Paul was a foot away after a beauty, Mark was 4 foot

Paul conceded 4 footer...........Mark did not concede in return (1 foot)

Par 3...Paul played half decent shot.......Mark conceded from tee

    Paul asked whats up...no reply

    Paul teed off

    [wife falls down stairs]

    Mark concedes

Then you say he took her to hospital, on his return he copies you email he sent to Paul (he did not send it to Paul by the way).......and then he leaves your club

We have never had issues with any games, and have still goy the problem with JPM1234 game where his oppo was complaining that she did not like the green speeds, then had to go and make a phone call, and the game is still awaiting to be finished.

Think we will carry on with our great world cup matches, where we join members of other clubs watching various twicth games........and very courteously into the bargain

Gentlemen please. I think that to keep slating each other is quite offensive to most of us. If there were 16 people watching this on Twitch, then surely most of the facts speak for themselves. The whole scenario as related seems crazy and something, somewhere is not right.

IMHO, and I will not be popular with TPC owner for saying it, whatever the circumstances the behaviour seems totally illogical.

Perhaps we could just call it 'Quits' at this stage, as I am sure that both clubs have a majority of members like me that regard this as unnecessary.

    Agree Terry.

Lets focus on the 90% games that has been played in a good spirit. Many us of us have made new friends and that is what it is all about. Ty to everyone, and particularly Ladychipper and Jeepie for your time and efforts.

Well that concluded the Inter CC. Although we had a few problems, I would like to thank all players for your efforts and playing these games in the friendly and competitive nature it was initially intended. Thank you also to the organisers from The Peoples Club.

    Cheers
