I was watching golf on TV yesterday and NOT ONCE did I get blinded by flashing text when they hit the fairway, green or made better than par, now that is realistic. What I did notice was when a golfer did something well, they did a little fist pump or a high five with their caddie.

Now that would be a novel idea if WGT introduced that type of acknowledgement rather than a gimmicky arcade style flashing light show.

If WGT insist on keeping the gimmick, give us that do not want it, the ability to turn it off like all the sound effects.

    Thank you.

Just wondering though, what would the cost be of implementing an idea like this, then having to amend or remove it afterwards, versus the cost on popping a quick post on the forum, asking if anyone would actually like it, BEFORE going ahead?

Seems to me that a lot of spent cash and pain could be avoided if only WGT would make changes that the players actually want... and not the ones the numpties in the kindergarten R&D Dept "think" we want.

    Just my 2p worth.

    Steve

You just opened the floodgates, WGT. It won't end here.

First--Shoe thanks for the information about the flashing, seen that it has been updated to also turn off for birds.  Thank You WGT for listening to us.

Second--Can someone who has to ability, verify something I have seen and heard on a mobile device.  I have heard that this flashing was not rolled onto the Mobile Version of the game. If I go to Andyroid(allows android games to be played on a PC)(I don't have any type of mobile device to check myself)  Using Andy, I see no flashes, in fact it doesn't even say fairway, green, etc.  If this is the case, I guess we were all wrong thinking that this was to attract mobile players.  And if this is true, the person on here that says the flash doesn't bother them and plays only an IPad, STFU.  If I heard incorrectly then I apologize in advance to that person.

I will let you know in advance for anyone that takes a look at Andy(bluestacks is another) you are going to be amazed at the options the mobile program has that the PC doesn't.

    DAZZA501:

Why can't you just go back to the way it was before? There was nothing wrong with it and i can't remember anyone ever complaining about it.

It seems every time you add these in game features everyone asks for an option to turn it off.

    Exactly.

Also, the next time you might want to check before implementing an 'enhancement' which doesn't enhance the game play. This time and effort could have been better utilized on other useful things.

If cookie was  that flashing text thing, It sure was one rotten cookie no mice wanted.

Fixing a problem created by these guys is not a favour anyway. That too we will see considering soon is a relative term in WGT world.
