Math Nerds and Foodies alike, its that time of year again. Its Pie Day!

Show your love of π or pie and add the image below as your profile picture and reply to this thread with why you love Pie, whats your favorite kind, how math teachers tormented you in school, or anything Pie related.

I for one am a fan of Pumpkin Pie and will admit the only reason I passed high school geometry was that my teacher quit 2 weeks before the last day of school and they were forced to pass everyone in the class. Shapes have no business being in math!

Will be picking a random poster who has Pie as their Profile Picture for a free sleeve of balls of their choice at 6pm Pacific. Have fun and Happy Pie Day!!

    All the Best,
    WGTShamWow

I like a pecan pie, that's not too sweet or too watery...

Just can't beat a good apple pie, slightly warmed, served with vanilla ice cream.  I have a brother-in-law who was a cook in the Army, and he can't make 'a' pie to save his life - must be 20 or 30 at a time (not that we mind!)

Apple "a la mode" is a tough one to turn down, especially if they come at you 20-30 at a time! :)

LOL Thomas...heck no....comfort food....well so Nigella tells us (oddly I met her Dad on several occasions years ago when living in the UK)

Sham....both DB and Icon told be you are WAY beyond help!!!!!

    But a story.....

When I lived in the Uk I knew this American girl....thanksgiving so wanted to do a big TG meal for her friends. Chose a pub and gave them a menu.....all excellent apart from the Pumpkin Pie. A British cooks take on this was fooken awful - dry not sweet at all (she had no recipes)...everyone was stunned and remarkably polite and nibbled complaining we had eaten too much to fit in the pie!

Well we repeated it the next year....but gave the cook a recipe - was perfect!

Thanks to her I played Kiawah on a trip to SC....wonderful hospitality and even better pies,

But the mud pie served up in the movie The Help probably takes the cake....or pie
