Corwyn: am ready to mount a serious challenge to Mags in R4, lol
My 'serious challenge' came unstuck with the discovery that I could no longer log in as of yesterday to WGT from Chrome or, even as a backup, Maxthon. I get a browser error message that says "This site can’t be reached. wgt.com refused to connect. ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED". It seems that Chrome (and perhaps other Chromium-based browsers) are no longer supported on older Mac OS it seems and that maybe security protocols are preventing access to WGT? However, it doesn't affect any other websites... sound familiar?
I've had to fire up an old version of Safari instead, and go through a Flash upgrade as well, just to get onto the site, and am now finding out with the meter why I never wanted to use Safari to play in the first place*. I got brutally metered on #11, with a tee shot that scooted into the 50-60% sand straight ahead of the tee: believe me, that's not a place to be in UEL. 3 ugly hits later I was back on the fairway, en route to a snowman. Got a double on #6 as well thanks to an absurdly early click into left bunker. For the rest of the round it was a matter of some pretty good course management to stay below the hole. Many makeable putts missed, but only one 3-putt.
I'm hoping I can make this playing setup viable, but it's possible this may be the last straw for me and WGT. The difficulties loading, and sustaining a connection, without even mentioning meter issues, threaten to be more trouble than it's worth, I'm afraid.
All that said... thank you Icon for another great challenge. These formats force one to really think about the shotmaking, which makes such a welcome change from the regular tournaments.

* If anyone using an old Macbook Pro (2011 running OS 10.6.8) has found a viable browser/flash version playing combination, please share!

P.S. Just noticed the posts above mine.
Thanks for the wrap-up Mags, and congrats on another emphatic win!
I'd love to get Nike Blacks again too.
And I believe that Vaibhav5viv is actually the second-placed Legend, which would bump AdamK70 and txzdave down a spot ... but I will happily sponsor txzdave a sleeve :)
