You only got 22 entries --- I'd say that many people missed the notice.
I love the events - just make sure we get a good chance to see the notice and enter.
I'll second Neil's request, and repeat what I suggested to Icon via PM: why not make these events a regular monthly occurrence at the same time each month (e.g. first week-8 days, so they're clear of my mid-month regular slot for Tough-It-Out). That way people know when they're coming, and they don't get in the way of other potential special-interest events, or the end-of-month VT single-play rounds.
As it is, you and Shoe seem to decide every year and a half to do this, and we get a glut for a month or two, and then they disappear for ages.

Also... I'm a little baffled as to why a legitimate complaint from Joe about the lack of a second place prize in Champ tier, then results in someone called Coriwn being denied a chance of a prize. Seems blatantly unfair on "Coriwn", whoever he is!!!
If you want to encourage the lower tiers, make that prize for Tour Master and below, not Legend. Most of the top Legends have a decent chance to compete (sometimes) with all but the best top tier players, especially in niche events.
And why not make the other prizes for top 5 or top 10 finishes across the board? That would feel more like a prize earned. Or, better still, reward all those who beat Icon over 4 "founds" (sic)! After all, Icon knows the conditions ahead of time, and presumably is able to practice strategy on all the potential maximum hit greens.
