new pin positions

  me and a load of wgt friends would like to see some new pps on the courses as they are getting boring if you had new pps on courses it would be like a new course I have a few friends backing me up on this dh410 and johnnysdrive and others please look into this and mention it to wgticon this would also get more people playing and make it more interesting thanks

  Yes. It would be nice if there were more hole locations for each hole, but is probably not as easy or cost effective to add more hole locations as many think it would be.

  It costs money, lots of money, to add hole locations.

  For some of the courses WGT would have to return and make more photographs, which means the golf courses would have to endure a disruption to their normal operations.

  Figure too that WGT can only make photographs when the weather is amenable to the purpose. Consequently, WGT is limited to just a few months a year that the photography can be done.

  Fair request by itsthetodman et al. as members have been asking for more pins on the courses quite often.   IIRC, WGT stated it was on their list of things they wanted to do this year.  In fact, according to this post from a couple of years ago we should be seeing new pins on Oakmont for the VUSO this year:

  Yes, you will get a new set of pins for Oakmont for the U.S. Open in 2016.  We have another set of pins that we have not used yet.

  Hopefully more as there are six WGT(not countingTruGolf) courses with only one pin placement.

  Which ones?  Totally unnecessary IMO since I believe they have already shot 3 pin locations on each course.  See MisterWGT's statement on this page, 3rd post down.

  We shoot multiple pin locations and have done so for every stroke-play course.

  Couple that statement with WGTNiblick's "We have another set of pins that we have not used yet."  and Oakmont already had 2 pins.  Then they shot at least 3 pins on every stroke-play course as part of their process.

  As the OP is British, I thought I would pipe in here.

  I believe there are pins and as Andyson said, they did shoot to capture additional pins, but I would guess time has eluded the programmers in their quest to ensure we get new bugs every release.

  The above shows RSG with a couple of different pins, by memory most holes had alternative pins, but as per FMags post on page 3.....they were probably for CTTH but crossed into a stroke play round. 

  I think WGT learnt early on, it was prudent to shoot more than 1 location, so we would be fooling ourselves to believe otherwise.
