Is WGT ever going to implement my suggestion above? "If a ball is on the fringe and less than 10 yards or something from pin,
just allow player to accept 2 strokes (or 3 strokes) instead of having
to painfully attempt a short chip using SkyTrak on WGT."
Really frustrating as the other day, one of many many times, hit my
approach shot on a par 4 just a bit right of pin attempting to roll it
downhill onto green. It did not and sat just off fringe 6 yards from
pin. Of course SkyTrak cannot read soft chips or flops, so had to chip
downhill past hole and ended up just off fringe on the other side 8
yards from pin. Then again as SkyTrak cannot read soft chips or flops so had to
chip past hole by 5 yards. So all in all, what should have been a
straightforward par (if SkyTrak can read soft chips/flops or allow me to putt
off fringe on WGT) turned into a double bogey.
I don't care about the score itself as much as the frustration and back
pains from having to soft chip over and over again where nicely struck
soft touch chips never register - and of course the chips that are too
strong or worst yet skulled registers perfectly.
