Not spending on a game isn't depriving me of fun. It just means I will have to get better the hard way...I have enough clubs to play the game...could do with a new driver if I ever hit legend tier, could do with a new putter, then the obvious drain of balls...

I very much doubt that this was the first time this player has done this. If he is going to receive 1000 warnings and never get booted, there's no retribution here whatsoever.

    Multiple accounts - against TOS

    Abuse - against TOS

    thats two violations

Also, the severity of the abuse must be taken into account? Lets just say that the "C" word was used at least 10 times, to all 3 players involved. The abuse went from hole 11 to hole 16 where I forfeited the match, having taken all the bad spelling and grammar I could, and with what I thought to be enough screenshots to get him booted. One of my opponents also filed a report against him at the same time. I daresay the other probably will have (though, not having him in my friends list, I can't be sure).

Now, lets say you walk on to a golf course and start abusing other players....what would happen? Put it this way, hole 16 wouldn't even be reached

I don't want to disagree with people on here, especially the more experienced players, but lately I seem to be, and this is one such occasion

    CanineSupervisor:
Maybe they could write some code (via a button) that the game creator can access to block that sort of language when it does occur and forward the text of such message to them for appropriate actions

All good points....I have 2 more:

1...Noobingalltheway: In support of YJ's note above:  "Hoot mon !! You're one of the good guys"...don't leave because of some moron! I read ur post and am left somewhat deflated about WGT's canned response, but in their defense...they cannot make what they do to offenders public.

2....Do you all notice how a cuss word is censored on the forums, by a "........." where the word was? Why can they not do that on the in-game chat box?  Just sayin........

    SM

I'm fairly sure thats the job of the moderator in the forums, and is not automatically censored (may be wrong).

Plus, the forums can be filtered by the javascript, and I think the in game chat box uses a different, more complicated type of script (though again I'm not sure).

I quit the game because at 2 up on hole 13, my partner (the abusive one) decided that it would be funny to start messing up each shot purposely (i.e., aimed a 5 foot birdie putt 50 feet in the opposite direction, used his putter for his drive on 14, and used his 5 iron whilst on the green on the same hole to hit it 150 yards back down the fairway whilst saying "you won't win another hole" ... it gets rather pointless playing then (and anyway, shortly after leaving, me and one of the others from the original game (another master) got invited into an A/S with two legends, which was fairly good!)

Yes, the response, or lack thereof, really got me too...a little odd, I had sent 8 screenshots, and whats their advice? Take a screenshot, lol

Edit: Actually you were right, it does automatically censor some swear words (cuss words) but if you add "ety" to the end of the F word, it allows it...lol

I never care who wins or loses these alt. shot games. I play them for fun, the practice and the points (to get to that R11 driver....long way off) And when someone is abusive I pretty much ignore it and keep playing. If it is my partner who is abusive i just keep hitting into the sand or rough and say oops, sorry p and watch his blood boil lol. If it is the other teams partner i just tell them to ignore it and play your game the way you want. Hit me up for a game anytime, just dont invite no yankee fans to the game with me. Sorry jim couldnt resist
