I play bracket tournaments usually and like the format. However, why not create a tournament format that follows real life tournaments. This could go over 4 days, after two days the bottom half of the players get cut and the rest plays on. Unlike in bracket tournaments, the score would be accumulative over the four days. Purse would be shared based on ranking after the four day tournament play.
Just a thought and I am sure many people would enjoy that format
