Just reading up on this subject,I would say if you have a weaker computer why not give it a try although not sure it will help with WGT or not...I say do a lot of research though..dont want to mess up your computer...

Have you tried searching with Google yourself?

"Give a man a fish and feed him for a day......

..........Teach a man to fish and he'll sit in a boat for 8 hours drinking beer."

With the amount of info you supplied on your setup, that question was about like pulling into downtown Chicago and asking a stranger "how do you get to Bills house"?

yes I have but I though t-  geez there's a lot of smart people here that seem to know their stuff about computers. I know engines transmisssions and differentials but computers are not my bag. And yes I did a little research and came up with, why not..

P.S.    Please monsieur un autre Molson.

"Build a man a fire and he'll be warm for a day.

Set a man on fire and he'll be warm for the rest of his life."*

I'd never heard of parking and unparking cores, thankfully Google has.  As far as I can tell there is unlikely to be any performance gain as if the game that is running is demanding the cores shouldn't be parked anyway.   It appears inactive cores are shut down, or parked, until they're needed, if the game requires a lot of CPU resources I doubt any would be shut down.

Perhaps the time saved manouvering them out of the parking space without dinging that shiny new i7 parked in front is making a difference for the OP though  : )

Whatever, I thank you for posting this, it's always nice to learn something new.

    *Thank you Sir Terry.

Sir I don't even know what an i7 is , but when I carried out the process there were 3 parked CPU's on a brand new laptop. When I first started playing on this laptop it was like learning to golf again. After unparking these CPU's I now have a buttery soft meter. Yes the purpose of this thread is education NOT humiliation which seems to run rampant and unchecked in WGT-land.

    Thank you for your help.

    oh and   :)

    What does that even mean?

Happy you got your set up running the game well, hit 'em straight.
