I agree banger. There's a five minute reconnect feature in place for the players who get disconnected through no fault of their own. WGT needs to step-up and start awarding full experience points to the players who finish their multi-player rounds as not all disconnects are created equal. After-all, WGT is only interested in our finished, or completed rounds.

Imagine all the finished rounds WGT could have on their books if they could only suppress the quitter.

    wormburner26:

Surely everyone has noticed the increase of quitters. Yesterday, I had a guy quit after his first drive went into the rough, which isn't a big deal, other than as you know, more points are scored for multi player games. The only way I can think of to expose these bums is to display their names. Maybe if we list their names, folks will hesitate to allow them into a game. Maybe also make this a sticky thread so we can add names as needed. Here's the first.

WGT at one time was keeping track on quitters...it was a reputation %.  If you notice when you start a multi-player game near the bottom of the info between player rank and shot timer selections there is a selection called "reputation."  It is no longer active. A players reputation was a % of games completed. (for example, player who always finished games started would show 100%, and it would decline from there.)  This % would be shown next to the players name as they were joining a multi-player game. The idea was for the game creator to decline a player who was below a suitable % for them.  The problem was the fact that the % was not taking into account ppl who had connection problems. AND as %'s go...if you played two games, but had to leave one of them for ANY reason...your next game would show you as a 50% reputation. Meaning, you would be kicked off games, because many players like yourself would not even give them a chance to play.

SO, in theory the reputation % was a good idea, however in application, it caused more problems than it solved.

I think the best solution is to reward all points(based on the # of players starting) to those who finish the game.  Then at least the finishers are rewarded in full, and quitters don't gain anything.

    I'll be honest with you.

Yesterday I joined a ranked 4 ball on St Andrews. First tee I tee'd off decent enough leaving a 55 yrd shot to the back of the green. Meter f4cked my shot into the burn and I was raging...so much so that I took out the driver and smashed a Callaway right through the green cause I really couldn't give a toss after the meter goofed up my 2nd shot. Sure I told the other guys I was raging and left the game because the meter had been killing my rounds most of the night.

Here's the rub...I ain't no quitter....but I ain't about to let that knob jockey of a meter dictate my score. I have just about played my brains out to reach the Legend Tier, so when ole porky the stuttering useless *** stalls and ruins my shot...I usually fly into a rage.

I also don't buy that it's down to pc's, internet connection, geo location or how saggy my grannies t-i-t-s are.....because the fact that more often than not it seems to happen at the most crucial times and in ready goes in particular, leads me to think otherwise.

Last night I played the Kiawah tourney and was 6 under at the turn with no meter problems at all. However, on the back 9 it was like dodging bullets with the meter stutter peppering my shots on every other hole...till finally I had enough and quit at 5 under on the 16th...because I was so pissed off.

Anyway...I do see the original posters point about folks hitting a crap shot through their own mistake and quitting. That would piss me off too.
