Basic golf 101

  Why don't you create a place where people who play the "normal" ball could play and evaluate their skills against others in a more scientific manner? some might say that the clubs are a gig factor, but the issue but or the "marker' for comparison in my mind is the ball. Normal ball is the basic 0.0.0 the "ball"

  Interesting post. But, I'm not certain I follow you. Isn't the golf course the place where you evaluate your skills, irrespective of the ball or clubs used?

  There are many formats and varying conditions you can choose in which to do so.

  What type of "place" are you referring to?

  Taking my 60 WGT average, and my real life Nike Covert driver, Cleveland irons, TM hybies and Versa putter out for a real 18 today, where I will struggle to break 95, lol.

  All that expense for a 95?  Instead of the Pro Shop perhaps a visit to a Good Will Thrift Store would've been more appropriate at this point?

  What does it matter ? The reason I ask is because you have been a member since 2009 . L97 Tour Master and you dont belong to a cc . So other than looking at other players profiles how are you evaluating your skills ? The best way to check your skills to other players is to play them and also play in the monthly tournaments .

  Except that the characteristic of the balls in the digitized environment can make a big difference in score. The Olympic course played with the basic 0.0.0 ball is much different, more up and downs, if you increase distance or spin things change. I play the basic ball and would love to know how I compare to others in that aspect.

  Yes what you say may be true but I never look at player profiles I just  look a how I end up in what ever tournaments I make it through each week or month. My best score or only score compared to the others at my level, I assume based on the program. To me its the math and I may be wrong but the areas available at different distances from the cup can make  huge differences in strategies and abilities needed  to accomplish the task.
