MarkC28: Seems very foolish for me to spend money on a video game, let alone one that has so many issues. I mean seriously LOL. Its kind of pathetic.
Actually, no, it's not foolish.
First, as someone has already noted, it's possible to earn credits so that one doesn't have to spend money. Second, upgrading equipment over starter clubs can have a tremendous effect. And third, for many people, it's a nice diversion. They get a lot of enjoyment from playing the game. If that were not true, no one would stick around. If they are spending money on it, clearly, they've decided that it's worth it.
In the year that I've been here, I've spent about $60 (IIRC). I don't regret spending any of that money. I really don't have any other hobbies. So for a hobby, $60 for a year is pretty cheap. For the past few months, however, I've earned a lot of free credits, which means I don't have to spend any money. But I do have to spend some time. Even so, it's been worth it.
Regardless, welcome to WGT and the forums.
