Moving up tiers without playing ranked rounds

  Today I played a coin match against a member who was a TourPro. His stats show only 2 ranked rounds. I was under the impression that ranked rounds were responsible for moving up tiers. So how can someone who has only played 2 be a TourPro?

  match-play will drive your HC down until you reach legend.. then it stops.

  Today I came across a player that has gone from Hack to Champion in about a month without having to play the ranked rounds. How is this possible?

  Could be a couple of different scenarios. I think if users transfer over from FB their ranked rounds number doesn't transfer. Or WGT might have allowed the person to create a new user name and agreed to move them up to the tier they attained under their old name. I've seen that happen.
  
  Of course, if you really wanted to know, you could simply ask the player (if you haven't already done so).

  Back to the original question. On the mobile side, you can tier up with no ranked rounds whatsoever just on your history in the coin rooms. I've played a few Legends with 150 averages.
