I know players complain about" wind not right" sometimes you have to look at the terrain a 15-17 mile hr. wind going sideways on a course filled w/  trees isn't going to go as far left (or right) as a flat course . same thing w/ wind in your face or back.  Anyone that plays for real understands this.  I know at times it isn`t quite right but no one can control a sudden gust or a sudden lull in the wind.  Play for real & then you may have a better feel for " ANYTHING CAN & WILL HAPPEN"   Rick

I had posed a while ago, that I was amazed some of the top players never seem to get fooled by the wind; nor the dots on the green, which routinely mislead us mere mortals. I was told it was practice. Certainly the easy answer, but it doesn't explain knowing how the wind wil behave ahead of time.

As you correctly stated, "no one can control a sudden gust".

Oh well, some of us play darts and some of have to settle for golf...lol
