Not to nitpick but I think you'll find Super 8 was actually a JJ Abrams movie, albeit in near flawless Spielberg style.

Some great movies, but Schindler's List for me.

I had not long left New York after moving there to win back my girl I met in London, unsuccessfully I hasten to add (parents disapproved of me lol).

I saw the movie, went to the pub and as she was of Jewish decent, I decided to call her and used a line from the movie "Sweetheart, you're the picture of loneliness".

Well the line went dead  lol.

Great movie, but the story is inspiring and helped me move on!

    Mine was Blues Brothers

In high school me and my girlfriend would get in my 1970 Ford Galaxy 500 along with 6 more of our friends would pick up a 12 pack,  throw a few back and then would pass the smoke around before the show.

John Belushi and Dan Akroid were sooooo funny!

Think we saw it 6 times before it got out of the theaters.

Very, very good times back then.

This is a tough one...Jaws, ET, Close Encounters, The Color Purple, Schindler's List...wow!

    Favorite film- Jaws

    Best Scene-

    Interesting fact-

The Captain of the USS Indianapolis, Charles B. McVay III, was the only Captain to ever be court-martialed for losing his ship during a war. He was found guilty and years later committed suicide, here in my home state of Connecticut.

In 1996 a twelve year old boy, Hunter Scott, saw the movie for the first time and then did some research on the Indianapolis after watching the film. After interviewing more than 100+ survivors of the Indianapolis Hunter thought the US Navy threw Captain McVay under the bus and was wrongfully convicted.

In 2000, due in part to testimony from survivors and young Hunter, Congress passed a resolution that completely exonerated Captain McVay of any wrong doing.

Saving Ryans' Privates....is a favorite of mine.

Tho once again I might have 'got the wrong end of the stick' ?

If I remember the ending correctly.. 'SHE definitely DID !!'

    Diff genre altogether I'm guessing......
