In the forthcoming products announced by WGT is a practice green.

We have been discussing this in Grande Oaks GC and would like to suggest that the proposed green is ringed by fringe and a layer of rough outside of that.

This would allow us to be able to practice chip/punch/flop/pitch shots too.

I don't know if this is possible but it seems like a good idea.

What do you think about this suggestion?

Agree good idea possibly even add a range of different % bunkers so these can be practiced also.

Great idea.  I would expand it out further and suggest the rough be of varying % around the green.  It could be marked out so you know what is where.  If a big enough area then a selection of different % bunkers would be good too.

Maybe asking to include Fescue, Brush and Mulch is being a bit cheeky but if you don't ask.............

Sounds a great idea, after all who doesn't need a bit of practice with their close to green shots as well as putting, I hope they give the option of setting green speed as well.

Lets see what they come up with. On a cynical note, what bugs will this inflict on the game.

#9 at Oakmont comes to mind.

Great idea but also being a bit cynical, how many hits on a ball will it be?

Several bunkers of varying difficulty would be nice also, but why stop there? A driving range would be a welcome addition as well. Then players could get used to new clubs before getting out on the course, or practice shaping shots they've just learned. A complete  practice facility.

Just on a slightly different point but still about practice.

Would it not be possible for WGT to sell what i would call a ghost ball of various types only useable in practice rounds equivalent to those we can buy in the club shop.

If they sold a ball for say 100 credits that like the free ball never wore out but only useable in practice mode people might experiment with different balls more and it may even increase WGT's revenue.

I for one object to having to map and get used to expensive balls ,2 sots for mulligans etc in practice mode.

Hope i explained my idea ok.
