I am new to WGT. I just started 3 days ago. That video TDHarvey has me worried. If that doesnt go in, I HAVE NO CHANCE!!

Quick ? for anyone experienced at the game. I have read all the information about the different tiers and how to advance. I can not get anything concrete on when you advance out of hack level. I have completed 2 18 hole rounds and 2 9 hole rounds. My average score is 80. I am at level 16 in experience. Do I need to reach a certain level? i.e. level 20 or do i need to reach a certain scoring average? or combination? or do i need to buy different clubs? When exactly do you advance tiers? Thank You in advance for your help.

Bloody right there, there must be a bridge over that hole. The first was bad enough as the marker line was almost entirely over the hole but that was dead centre. Gravity took a short holiday there.

    RUSTY40:

The ball is bigger. The dog ate my homework...

LOL +1 Rusty......but Callo' balls ARE bigger, take a closer look when you play with someone using non-Callo' balls side by side!

WGT programmers never ceases to amaze me, they've even created a virtual "Extenze/Viagra" to interact w/the Callo' balls!!!

I actually started checking this forum for the exact same reason. I used to be far better at putting, but suddenly I'm being robbed on a fairly regular basis. Some of them I can attribute to simply a bad shot, but in a lot of cases I'm getting these balls that mysteriously float over the holes and they're barely moving. The one below is a real gem: http://www.wgt.com/replay.aspx?ID=8bc9ea92-271a-485b-a201-9eb0015e5b70 This has happened two or three times in the last week; in one case blowing a double eagle. On the swing bar front, I'm getting these weird hangs and sudden accelerations that weren't there about 2 weeks ago. The game in general seems a bit slower, no matter the time of day. Swings stutter and new view load times take forever. But this is like complaining that my free Ferrari has a ding it in. This game rules and I can imagine the level of effort that's gone into making it. I'm on a Mac Pro, with four gigs of ram and a quad core. 25 MB/s down - 15 MB/s up. The only thing that's different from a two weeks ago is that I'm no longer hardwired to my router, I'm running on 802.11n and getting the same network speeds. Using Google Chrome.

The game penalized TD for putting from on the green without removing the flag-stick. Tsk tsk!

for those having trouble with meter on putts, you might give this a try.  scale up and use less power. it doesnt let the meter move as far, has less time to stutter. takes a little gettin use to but works gr8 for me.

This is one thing i use. With the scale i use i have 20% and under amrked as well for doing this. When i was using the spyder putter if i had a 30ft putt id use the 300 scale and hit it about 9% on vf greens and it would pretty much go 30-31 ft every time. Like gene said once you get used to this it can help if you have a bad meter or just want to slow the meter down for those longer putts.

That's the age old question.   Would you rather have:

    1) A BIG HOLE and small balls

    2) A small hole and BIG BALLS

    3) A small hole and small balls

    or

    4) A BIG HOLE and BIG BALLS

    Personal preference I guess.
