  Result of the old one v the young one.....

  Great game with James, real ding dong battle, great standard of golf, the Ocean course lost this one....

  I threw an opening salvo of Bird Eagle Bird at James to take the first three holes, however James fired straight back with absolutely stunning birdies at 4 and 5 to get it back to just 1 down, 6 and 7 were halved in birds, 8 was halved in par (although both birdie putts lipped out) and I took it back to 2 up with a bird on 9

  Great playing James, excellent company, and it took a 29 to beat him on the 9th hole such was the standard of golf out there.

  Bah humbug - the old lion ripped the heart out of the young antelope!

  Fair play to Mont; he tore it up to begin with and two lapses of judgement on 1 & 3 were incredibly costly. Good luck going forwards Captain Marvel ;-)

  Me and Simone decided for a last call to have Group G completed as well.

  Final Group G deadline: Tuesday, April 19th, 8 AM GMT

  All the players involved received the personal message.

  We understand any working/connection/holiday/whatsoever problem, and frealzu is really happy to rest himself before his Round of 16 match. But this is really the last call.

  If we have no match played on tuesday morning, frealzu will get a bye for the QFs.

  Result of my match against Paul. Very well played match, only hole between us that didn't see a birdie was the 6th.

  Great birdie on the 4th for Paul to go 1up, but I managed to reply with a 13footer on the 5th for a bird to even the match.

  I went ahead with a birdie on the 8th after my putt sneaked in the side door and Paul's just slid by, but Paul wasn't about to give up without a fight down the 9th, and proceeded to throw a dart into 2ft and take the match to extra holes.

  On the first extra, I shot into 3 feet and Paul was about 7 feet, and I must confess, I wasn't really watching Paul putt, heard the putter strike the ball and waited for it to hit the bottom of the cup, but it never came. I have a feeling that the hidden breaks on that first green claimed another victim and rather spoiled a great match.

  Thanks Luciano for the extension, lol, i had thought i had been dq'd.  Gracchio and myself just completed our match, it wasnt our best play for sure,  gracchio birdied the first, then saved par from the trees on 2, i hit short all day but finally caught up to things and went on to win the match 1up.   Good match and fun time out there, thanks gracchio!

  Coolswing beat me 3 up in 7 holes. Was a perfect game for Vic, he mades 7 birdies in 7 holes and i played bad shots in some holes. Result was realistic with game and i hope very good luck to Vic in your tournament.

  Thanks to all players that participated in this tournament and specilly to Daskino for his labouor and dedication to try to make a good tournament. You did it perfect Lou.

  Scorecard for my match today with good friend Villa - 

  

  We both started well with a halved on the 1st with birdies then on the 2nd hole Villa was left with a little tricky putt across the sidehill slope which I think he would have made but for the unkind meter God !  Then on the 3rd hole Villa was left with a tricky putt which unfortunately he misread and saw his putt slid by the edge of the hole !  Villa got himself together and made a great approach shot to about 9ft pin high but I managed to make a fast turning putt from about 18 ft for a bird to halved the hole.  At the par 3 we both went past the pin about 11y, then Villa just missed the hole with his pitch shot and I sank a good putt up the hill to take the hole.  On the 6th Villa made a great putt for birdie to halved the hole after he left his approach a bit short and I had rolled my approach shot down the hill to about 2 ft.  Villa last chance at the par 5 was again met with bad luck when his well struck 3w second shot landed right on the bump at the front of the green and stopped dead ! Eventually I had to make a testing sort putt just right of the hole to take the match.

  Thanks to Villa for the game today, it's always nice to catch up with a good friend after quite a while.  That was a very good game today, where any thing could have happened and the result would be very different if a few things didn't go my way.  Even though Villa just had no luck at all today, I still had to put my A game together to beat him and i'm very happy to survive a tough competitor like him.  

  Looking forward to my next game, don't know who i'm up against but no doubt it's going to be another very tough match since there are so many good players in this tourney.

  Played my match with one of the toughest Match play warriors wgt has ever seen,I needed 5 birdies and an eagle to beat Les today,Thanks for a nice match Les

  Thank you Amanda for a good match,all even after 3 then Tess made a great bird on 4,i followed up on 5 sinking a 25 footer for bird to be back AS.On 6 i left my putt 3 inches short and Amanda took over from there making a great eagle on 7 and then placing her tee shot to 3 feet on 8 to sweep me away.Well played Tess good luck in your next matches.

  Luciano,i would like to thank you for the invitation to your tournament i have had a lot of fun playing with some of wgt s best players,and congratulations on running a very well organised event.

  Elimination Round of 16   KyRock75 vs. Simovoice                  Very well played match with me holding off Simo at the end.  I had to birdie first 5 holes to get the lead (I never birdie 4 & 5 ) and had to withstand a charge at the end!
