I am not saying they wont stop selling Nike stuff..but they will not take what you already have is my point

If Nike tells WGT to pull their stuff they won't have a choice. Hopefully that won't happen.

If it does I sure hope WGT is working on a plan to replace gear lost.

I dont think it works like that . Nike will have already been paid for the clubs and balls which you have . What will happen is that WGT will no longer be able to produce virtual clubs or balls representative of the Nike brand or logo . Nor will they be able to further sell any existing virtual clubs or balls after either the expiration of contractual terms and or licenses between the two parties .

Unlike the players that you see who still have clubs that have been removed from the game as an upgrade the companies that represent those clubs are still here . Even though you cant buy the G20 clubs any more you can buy the G25s which replaced the G20s . See Ping is still here and under contract with WGT . So is Taylor Made Cleveland and so forth .

Thats why you still see players with those clubs . But if they leave entirely I dont think they can legally force WGT to remove the product from us . Some players have paid real money for those clubs which would be the problem . WGT just would not be allowed to make and sell any more clubs or balls under those brand names .

Snake Eye clubs are no longer offered by WGT but there are still players using Snake Eye wedges so that should answer the question about WGT taking our Nike clubs away from us.

In the end,all that would happen is they would make a different brand ball with all the same specs as the Nikes...Hell they could call them anything they wanted....so you would still be able to play same ball you always used just a differnet name...Now WGT would be really cool if they maybe lowered the price, but we all know that the new balls would likely cost more....

Thank you, you just made my point for me. I'm still using my K15's too and don't plan on changing them.

How come no WGTSomebody has weighed in, or I missed the post maybe. Has there been any word from WGT?

Probably, because there has been no news to report.

I don't remember if it was Champion or Sham but I am thinking it was Sham said that WGT didn't know yet what was going to happen. He said when he knew something he would let us know. Nike's decision to leave the Golf business seemed to come out of the blue.

Who knows what will happen. Another company may try to buy the golf side of the business from Nike and keep it going albeit under another name.

Just look at Top-Flite and the other golf brands that were owned by Spalding. In 2003 Spalding became part of the Russel company except for the golf businesses which were purchased by Callaway.

Does it really matter if it's RZN ball , I mean it's a computer program , any ball can have the same specs , just call it whatever You want.
