are the "better balls" disproportionately more expensive for their use (3 to 4 rounds) than anything else on WGT? 500+ credits are a lot when you have to do this every other day. In contrast, you can purchased a pretty good club for 400-500cr and have it literally for years. Is WGT open to looking at price reduction on balls?

Ball purchases are one of the primary ways WGT finances this game so they are not open to looking at reducing the prices.

A very telling part of your problem is when you say "500+ credits are a lot when you have to do this every other day." You do not HAVE to do this every other day. You CHOOSE to do this every other day when you CHOOSE to play between three and nine games a day and you CHOOSE to use expensive virtual balls.

No one is forcing you to play at a price you can't afford.

Yes, in comparison to the price of clubs, the balls are disproportionately expensive.

No, there's no way they're going to look at reducing any of the prices. That's especially so since the prices start at 0. :-)

Another consideration is why some balls are so expensive. The top balls have amazing specs, but a player needs the experience and clubs to take full advantage of them. You are a junior tier and are using many low end clubs. Folks in this category should not waste money on high end golf balls. (TP tees do not require 5 dots of distance)

Much cheaper options, that suit your experience and equipment level, are available. They are not Nikes, but certainly far better than the free ones. The Callys or Srixons are decent golf balls and well worth the money (IMHO).

    cheers,

    ct

I agree. I don't think I started buying balls on a consistent basis until I hit legend. Then I needed both the distance and the spin.

For.what its worth...I use buck and a half Baseballs. I know it costs me strokes, but 6 or 7 bux $ for balls is just crazy to me.  Friends tease me and call me cheap.....but I just say ....any fool can play with 700 Nikes. Lol.

That sometimes shuts them up...or creates a small war. .   The bottom line is to pick a ball and use it  and learn it. Almost any ball will do OK if you know how it reacts to your style of play.Pick a cheaper ball.....and stick with it is my advice. I reckon I have saved $1500 + with Baseballs, and spent it on beer.   Cheers  !

I use 325 credit ball Callaway Hex Level 55.

I see little to no difference between this ball compared Nike 700 - 800 credit balls.

I can hit my shots just as close as the expensive balls, and if you can putt from just about anywhere ball makes no difference.

Can`t see myself paying 800 credits for balls which are not going to improve my scoring stats 1 or 2 shots per nine  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9xo3kxjpkTc

Buying balls are a choice a player makes or not, Get good by using the cheap balls and you will have no need for the top end balls.

When (if) you buy your 1st 3000-4000 cr club, you'll change your opinion on this ;-)

When I started playing the game 4 years ago the most expensive ball (without vapor trail or blinky hearts or cat faces to hit your virtuell golf clubs in it or other stuff noone needs) in the pro shop was the level 71 Nike for 450 credits.

Now they have balls for 900 credits a sleeve. The reason for that is pure greed.

The good news is: The level 33 callys for 250 credits are a very good buy. And if one wants more distance and a slower meter the level 48 Nikes for 400 credits are a very good choice. I use both and so I dont need to waste my money.
