That makes sense...the name on the equipment has no meaning to me as long as the specs are appropriate and consistent.

For Nike equipment here, its still very much up in the air with the recent news. Now this is just speculation, but I don't see the equipment going away but maybe changing names? I'll try to let you guys know if I hear anything on it but most likely when there is a decision, there will be an announcement made. :)

for those of us that almost all nike clubs will we have to rebuy new clubs or you think you guys will just rename them and lets us keep what we have?

I hardly think WGT will take away the Nike equipment that we currently own. If you owned real life Nike golf equipment you'd be totally dumbfounded if someone turned up on your doorstep to take it away from you because of Nikes recent decision.

I guess Nike will disappear from the pro shop at some point in the future, but losing what we already own? I highly doubt it.

Even if Tiger did come back he wouldn't do much, too many players his level and better now...

Tiger set a new standard of play and the field responded

+1, though the T&Cs would allow them to do so. We don't own the equipment but play on a temporary license which might be revoked...

Alas, it would probably cause a major uproar and they haven't done so in the past. Many players still have clubs in their bags which are long discontinued - I have Z Satins and a Rapture 3WD.

I think the more valid point to make here is whether WGT are going to replace the higher spec Nike balls with an equivalant spec ball from some other manufacturer. Or will we have to learn to play with another ball that has lower specs ?

Many of us use high spec Nike's and are happy to spend our credits on them for the privilege, the top spec Callaways and others are not in my opinion as good , So are WGT going to ask us to accept using an inferior, again my opinion, ball to play the game ?

The above will be the most pertinent question for many players on WGT. I will be interested what WGT are going to do about this .

You are asking, if WGT will settle for selling less expensive balls and not replace the Nikes with any other brand, albeit their own? PMSL

    Edit: @ Sham

Hopefully the announcement will give us enough to stock up ;-) Cause although I'm certain, that the same spec balls will be available, I'm not 100% sure their cost will be the same. I'll feel more at ease, if I buy 100 sleeves of Nikes, before they're taken out.

Very good point.  Maybe some of those longer standing Nikes especially, but even the newer ones I am sure are not safe.
